Surprise dairy & egg free finds - join me in making a list?

Hi -

I'm new to the whole allergy thing (DS is 15 months old & allergic to milk & eggs). As he's getting older I'm starting to appreciate how limiting it is and how lovely it is when he can have an off-the-shelf item that everyone else is having. So, I thought I would start a thread where we could list surprise finds we've came across (or in my case, that MN have pointed me towards!).

My (very short) list:

• shop bought puff pastry (read this in a thread the other day. A revelation! And just in time for my nephew's birthday party!)
  
• jammie dodgers (ditto!)
  
• Nairns Dark Choc Chip biscuits (made in factory handling milk)
  
• Sacla tomato & garlic stir in sauce
  
• Sacla Char-Grilled Aubergine Pesto
  
• Cauldron aduki bean kiev (salty though!)
  

Anyone like to share their finds?

Asda brownie mini bites are dairy free!!!!! (Sorry they contain egg and say 'not suitable for milk allergy sufferers' but I ignore this if milk etc not in ingredients).

They are free but hobnobs say something about may contain milk/soya either that it made in a factory that handles milk.
Please everyone be careful why you give to your kids with milk allergies or any allergy as I have done a lot of research recently an came to find milk can be life threatening and there have been many kids/babies/adults die from it.
P.s my daughter has a milk/soya/dairy/even almond and coconut milk allergy coming across this thread I had no idea that so many kids suffer from this allergy tbh I didn't even know any allergy expect nut allergies existed until my baby was born. Such a scary world.

Hi everyone, I've just discovered this discussion and am v excited to find out about coop dairy free doughnuts!
I've not been able to eat anything containing cows milk for over 10 years so have amassed a list of things I can have! Not sure about baby yet will find out when it's born!

I can add the following to the list that I don't think have been mentioned above:
Sainsburys own brand Jaffa cakes
Hobnobs

You can make your own cheesecake with tofutti vegan cream cheese, a little sugar and a biscuit base with dairy free marg and hobnobs - a bit pricey so only for special occasions but v tasty with raspberries and maple syrup!

I also love Dark Mountain bar from M&S (like toblerone)

I've made the fizzy pop cake several times it's yum :)
my 8 month old is dairy free has and recently been told to go soya free too, he is breastfed so I have been dairy free since he was about 2 weeks old and now have to be soya free too, I read the whole of this thread last night when DS decided sleep wasn't an option from 2 til 4 yaaaawwwwwn!!

Morrisons do an after 8 style choc that's dairy
and egg free & Sainsburys do an orange version. Not sure if these are soya free tho as only have been soya free since Wednesday

my latest egg and dairy free discovery is waitrose essential iced fingers. no more baking ahead of parties so she can have a treat like other kids but instead iced fingers every time

Mr Kipling's pack of 6 SHOCK AND ORANGE SLICES. They are in the Halloween section of supermarkets and are milk free! my dd (6) loves them. So nice to be able to buy something off the shelves and not have to worry!

Lovely to see this thread still going! Seems like forever since i started it. DS has now outgrown his CMPA so haven't checked back for a while. Has someone already posted about the fizzy pop cake? Buy a pack of Betty Crocker (or equivalent) cake mix an replace the wet ingredients (including egg) with a can of fizzy pop eg cola, ginger ale.

I'm new to the subject as only eliminated dairy from my diet a week ago, to see if it helps breastfed DD who is 3 weeks old.

Hi not sure if anyones still interested or if these are mentioned already, managed to get these recently that's egg/dairy/nut free.

Iceland dough balls with garlic and herb.
Co-op jam/custard doughnuts.
Tesco marshmallow kubes (rice crispy treats).
Heinz spaghetti but not the hoops.
Smash instant mash potato (great for hols).

Awesome thread. My 6m DS has had a mild reaction to both dairy and eggs (I think, it was a reaction to mayo). He's not eating much yet but I'm already surprised how limiting it is when eating out.

Was just about to start my own thread. I have a 7 month old with dairy intolerance and egg allergy. Weaning is desperately slow as she point blank refuses purée. HV has been singularly unhelpful sadly.

I will print this and add anything I come up with
