And I'm nervous ... Single adopter, hope I'm not the only one on my own there.
Don't think I'll get much sleep tonight Confused
Did anyone else go on their own and was it ok?

How was day 2?

Really glad Smile Good luck with the rest of it.

Suss out the people you think you could be friendly with - they can become a source of support which might figure more largely in your assessment as a single adopter.

Glad it went well. There was a single adopter on our course and we did all we could to make sure she wasn't sat alone.

I actually had a really good day Smile the social workers made us all feel at ease and people were really friendly and easy to talk to in the breaks which was good. Absolutely exhausted now as haven't slept all week, so early night tonight as back there tomorrow!

Hope that you have had a good day Candy

I was the only single adopter on my course and it was absolutely fine. Everyone was very friendly and the SWs went out of their way to make sure I was fully included in things

Good luck Candy! The SWs and other couples on our course were very chatty so if there had been a single person there (there wasn't!) I'm sure they would have been fine. You might actually find that you don't want to make small talk during the breaks anyway - there's a lot to take in!

Hi candy single adopter here. You'll be fine, I promise! There were about 4 other single adopters on my prep course. I remember being really surprised (thought I'd be the only one and get a lot of pitying glances, wasn't like that at all)

Everyone was really friendly, keen to talk to everyone. Go with a big smile on your face and a willingness to join in and you'll be fine. Hope it goes well today, let us know how you get on.

Thank you kr1stina. I managed to get a little sleep in the end, hopefully I can hold my yawns in as I haven't had much sleep all week with the heat, that wouldn't look too good would it! Grin

I hope there's someone to speak to in the breaks, don't want to be sat on my own. I think that's what I'm worried most about not going with anyone else, rather than the actually course! Will report back tonight Smile

Good luck

There's usually more than one single person there, I doubt you'll be on your own

Everyone else will be nervous too and hopefully will be friendly

Please let us know how it goes
