Just met our placements new mummy and daddySmile

They are lovely and sooooooo excitedGrin

I had some recent photo's ready for them and we had taken the best one and had it enlarged and framed for them to take home. They were so pleased with it, made me feel excited for them, but sad too that we only have a couple more weeks with loSad Here we go againSmile

I take my hat off to you EarthMother.

HUGE hugs to you as i have had a little glimpse into how you must be feeling.

We have just taken our little boy back for the last time before he comes home for good on Thursday morning.

The FCs are incredible people with the biggest hearts who have made intros as easy as possible for us even though i know how sad they are to see him go. They have loved him and cared for him from birth until now and have made him into the wonderful little boy he is today. I just about managed 'Thank You' to them before my voice cracked and we got teary but how is that enough? There is a ton i want to say to them but somehow i don't think that the words exist for me to explain how i feel. I know i haven't found the words yet and i'm not sure i ever will.

People have said that we are wonderful that we are adopting but we aren't the heroes, the FCs are.

Sadly as I've said on the fostering topic this lo will probably be our last one.

I'm determined to make it go well for lo and his new family though.

That's lovely! I often fantasise about fostering and I'd love to take small babies but I know I'd end up breaking my heart and wanting to keep them all. I don't think I'm made of strong enough stuff to cope with the inevitable separation. You are doing such a fantastic job. Smile

You have given that child the best start in life that it could have had, given the circumstances.
