Holiday packing for 3 year old?

We're off on holiday to Majorca at the weekend for the first time since DS was born and I'm really excited!

What hidden tips/tricks or things should I take for DS?

So far have a new water colour book and a new sticker book. He got some new books for his birthday last week. Got a tough iPad case on order.

Will be taking a buggy and lots of mini cheddars.

Got decent suncream and rash vests to go with his swimmers. Thankfully he's a big fan of hats which will make life easier.

What else is essential? We've got 3 x 22kg of luggage so absolutely loads!

5ml sachets of Calpol in your hand luggage

Bath / swimming type toys he can play with in the shallow end of the pool. Some kind of flotation device.

Aqua type shoes so he doesn’t slip by the pool.

Headphones for the iPad.

Yes, agree with a I've. I'd take a mini first aid kit. Calpol, thermometer, insect repellent, antihistamine cream, plasters, disinfectant wipes. The usual etc.
If you're taking a soft toy through the airport write your phone number on the label.
You don't need to fill you cases!

Make sure you take in your hand luggage what you need to survive one night with him- in case your bag gets lost/delayed.

I’d be taking a travel blackout blind on a summer holiday with a child - hate flimsy curtains waking them at 4am!

When we go on the plane I get my little ones each a crappy magazine with toys stuck to it (peppa / Thomas tank engine etc) and then let them have it on the plane - the toys have turned out to be a huge novelty the last 2 years! They have proved really helpful on the plane. I also take a mini one of those Robinson’s squash’s - the first time we went my little one hated the bottled water.

also bite and sting cream that can be used on little kids - my daughter got bitten by mosquitos and it was really helpful x

We bought Pogs cordless headphones for 2 year old for on plane. They are really good and he wore happily

A favourite blanket or cover or pillow so there is something familiar when they're going to sleep. If you plan on lots of walking, then take a collapsible buggy with a hood. Sunglasses.

Thank you, lots on here that I hadn't thought about as well as some that I had.

I'm fairly sure we'll be able to buy anything thats important but I like to be prepared - particularly for the journey, calpol sachets is a great shout - I'm sure I have some somewhere in the house!

first aid kit, you can get everything in Majorca but you don't want to go out and search for it.

Sunglasses
take some magazines or books in your suitcase for the flight back
water bottle if he prefers drinking from a bottle than a glass
card game or other pre-school age games for a bit of quite time in the room

Headphones for the plane with loads of downloaded shows on tablet/phone for the plane.

So many snacks - we used to pack a little lunch box.

Possibly a ride on suitcase (trunkii) if you’ve got the money. We still use DD’s for DS great for tired legs.

A change of clothes in the hand luggage for accidents. DD once wet herself at the boarding gate completely out of nowhere and I managed to take her to the bathroom and quickly change her and get back in about five minutes flat.

roll on sun cream! We refill ours and they’re so much more open to be lathered up than a spray bottle!

Blanket! In case they fall asleep, get a bit homesick etc.

Keep in mind if he's dropped his day nap that he may need a few back. We were not prepared for that and thought our child had gone through a personality change 😂
