Anyone miss 2 periods after taking morning after pill?

Hi, my partner and I DTD on 14/11 and I took EllaOne the following day. I completely missed my period at the end of November (usually every 4 weeks to the hour!)

I'm now coming up to when my second missed period would be which is on the 25/12 so Christmas day!

Has anyone had Ellaone mess up your cycle this much? Since taking the MAP I've had no bleeding or spotting whatsoever. I took 2 first response test, both negative.

I woke up yesterday extremely nauseous like when morning sickness began in my last pregnancy and had another wave of nausea last night.

I took another first response this morning after talking with the pharmacist and it's another negative. Does this mean I'm definitely not pregnant? I'm worried as I really wouldn't be able to continue with the pregnancy if it was. Please has anyone had period delayed by nearly 2 months or longer?

Thanks in advance!

Hi I’m in the same boat I had unprotected sex 28/29th January I’m in a new relationship and it’s long distance so I have not slept with anybody else since. I took the map levonelle on the 31st feb. The 8th feb I had very light brown/pink spotting for a week not even enough for a pad just when I wiped.. it’s now been almost 7 weeks since sex and still no period for weeks I’ve been getting cramps and achy legs like I do when I’m due on but nothing arrives I’ve never wanted my period so bad!! Took multiple tests and all negative and awaiting bloods from go!! I have health anxiety and I’m starting to think something is seriously wrong I’d never took a map until now!

I only took the map because initially he was inside without a condom and then we stopped and carried on outside of me. Sorry for the crazy language. Im 3 days late but clearblue test said not pregnant.

Did u turn out pregnant or what? Im so scared as i dont want more kids

@Bex19999 I didn't see your last message until now! Sorry... Glad the scan went well, my partner has anxiety so I completely understand, you will pay whatever you can if it eases the worry! Sounds like you've not got anything to worry about now, hopefully the MAP has done it's job for us both and shouldn't have any more affect on our periods from now on 🙂

@BigMumma18 well call me crazy but I’ve just booked a private pelvic scan and paid a fair amount.. I live in london so a lot of options and managed to get one for today at 3.30. I can’t wait anymore I am worried I have health anxiety as it is. I’ll let you know the outcome. I’ve never heard of it either and I googled it and nothing came up so sounds like rubbish tbh. Yeah I know what you mean about the implant I’d be reluctant as well

@Bex19999 if you've taken about 10 tests and they've been negative then I think you're safe to rule out pregnancy! My doctor said it's not unusual to wait 6 weeks for a period after the MAP and she did say there's no evidence that the implant causes weight gain just don't want to take anything that could slow my progress or make it harder in anyway... I've never heard of booking a test at a chemist to be honest, it may be worth phoning them and seeing if they agree to go in or not? Well at least a scan is positive although you may have to wait a little...

@BigMumma18 I just spoke to the doctor who told me we need to rule out pregnancy and that I should go to the pharmacist and book a pregnancy test ?? I’ve never even heard of that ?? She said some of them do it and they might be different ones. I’m not doing that I’ve taken about 10 pregnancy tests all of which have been negative and feel like that’s just a total waste of time. Have you ever heard of that ? She also said she is going to request a scan to see what is going on. But I assume that isn’t gna come for weeks. The implant never effected my weight at all but I guess it does effect people in different ways. I’m also trying to lose weight so probably wouldn’t go on any contraception either

@Bex19999 Aww I think you will come on on the 15th or maybe even a week after like I did. I thought my period had stopped but I'm starting to spot again today, it was really heavy for 48 hours so be prepared!... I cancelled my implant appointment as I'm trying to lose weight and my partner and I decided it's best to wait until my weight is under control although he prefers me bigger! Even if it means we don't have sex for a while, hope you come on soon 🤞

@BigMumma18 hey really hoped I’d be writing on here to say I’d come on but nope !! Nothing ! I’m hoping it’s gna be on the 15th like the app said and I’ve just missed one cycle. Trying not to think about it but bloody worrying x

Yes, that's what my app showed! I missed 2 but I logged taking the MAP and after missing my second it moved predicted start day a week forward.... if your app is saying the same then relax! I'm sure you will get it then 🙂

@BigMumma18 oh that’s good news! I just checked my app and as I have long cycles anyway ( not this bloody long though) my next period isn’t due till 15th jan.. so I’ve only missed Decembers. Maybe it will come when it was supposed to this month and I’ve just completely missed Decembers

@Bex19999 it is heavy today and heavier than normal which I'm relieved about... It's more than likely probably the stress that's delaying yours, stop worrying and I'm sure it will come.... keep me updated, really hope it comes soon for you x

@Bex19999 yes that's exactly what I was thinking! I still can't believe one pill has caused us both all this stress.... I will take another test before my implant on Tues too, really hope you get your period soon x

Be heavy. Periods after taking the pill can be lighter but Just seems so strange that the pill taken so long ago can be having an effect still. I still have nothing and no signs even my
Boobs aren’t hurting anymore just so weird. I have another frer that I will take when it’s been two weeks after the last sex so I’ll take it Sunday although I don’t think I am pregnant

I still haven't got my typical period yet, it's been really light the last couple of days when usually medium to heavy! Not quite sure why, I've never ever had a period this light.... perhaps it will come properly over the next few days...

@Bex19999 how are you today?

@BigMumma18 mine is always really light and pink to start with so it’s probably just that. I’m actually jealous you got your period haha!. It doesn’t help i have health anxiety so I’ve been on google nearly every day for the last two weeks!. I’m not even worrying about being pregnant now I’m worrying it’s something worse. Sounds crazy but at least it I had a postive test I’d have an explanation for this

@Bex19999 it looks like I completely missed 2 periods then AF a week later! Well that's what I'm hoping it is, I'm still only spotting at the moment so will be more relieved when it comes full on. Never thought I'd say that 🤣 if you had a light bleed in November, I wouldn't worry too much as think that's quite normal from what I've read so far...

@BigMumma18 ahh that is good bet you are relived! I wish mine would hurry up and come 😞. I just checked and I am CD 60. Can’t feel it coming any time soon. I took the MAP on the 25th October and then had a bleed on 7th November but defo wasn’t as heavy as my normal period x

Ok... So.... I'm now CD 63 and it's been 47 days since taking the MAP! It looks like AF has finally started, it's very pinky which is unusual but may be just because I'm checking more than usual and noticed before it comes full on! I had strong cramps last night so thought it was coming... will keep you updated.

@Bex19999 how are you today? X
