What do I want from Ikea?

MaggieFS · 17/11/2020 09:21

I'm placing a click and collect order for a large item of furniture. What are all of the smaller bits and pieces I'd pick up if I was walking through the gates of hell store? Browsing online just isn't the same.

@op - glad it was a helpful comment. They seem to be struggling to re-adjust to the online only scenario. I think it was the review where someone had spent five hours in the car park that I found most astonishing!

Just read the food update - Oh no!

I'm really glad I have a fridge full of pickled herrings

Another one here saying sandwich bags - all sizes - they are amazing! I go to IKEA miles away just for them!

@Ashard20

Before you order, go to TrustPilot and look at the reviews that are coming in at the moment for their Click and Collect service. We have just had a nightmare with an order that was completely messed up and now the item in question will need to be delivered in two weeks time.
It seems we are not alone.
It's very tempting but adjust your expectations.

Thank you. I wasn't aware of any of this. The reviews are terrible. I'm not sure I'll be able to use the C&C, I have a two month old baby so I don't fancy sitting in an IKEA car park for six hours with the baby in the car! Ironically, that was the main attraction of the C&C, not having to take a baby around the store; I don't need the furniture that urgently. Oh well.

They have a lovely mulled apple drink too! YY to sandwich bags, candles/ tea lights, batteries, glass storage containers with the plastic lids, hangers, wicker baskets, bag clips, ginger thins and random glassware!

COFFEE BEANS (assuming you can go to the food bit).

I always buy like 12 bags when I go and it’s never enough!
