Hole in UPVC Door ... anyone filled one before?

Ive read up that you can buy filler kits for holes etc in doors. Just wondering how easy it is. We have a small hole in the upvc door where some of the plastic has come away on a raised bit

If the raised bit is part of a panel that is removable ie, not part of the entire door, it will be quicker, easier and cheaper to replace the panel.

We've fitted new panels to accommodate catflaps and you can usually buy a suitably sized offcut from a door supplier for £30 ish. But we're in an area where there's at least half a dozen companies that make the doors and windows and DP used to work for one of them, so is competent making, cutting, dismantling and refitting etc.

It's probably therefore telling that we also have 'a small hole in the upvc door where some of the plastic has come away on a raised bit' and he's never mentioned doing anything about it, ie if it was a quick/easy/cheap job he would have done it.

I can’t remember exactly, it was cheaper than a new door would’ve been but it wasn’t cheap.

I had a company do a repair on my upvc door after a large raised section got cracked and damaged. He was there for hours with lots of tools, it didn’t look simple, so I wonder how easy it would be to do yourself?
