Anyone bought from SHEIN? Return items show a much lower price than what I paid

This has been mentioned on trust pilot too.

I want to return items but I worry as when I logged in to create the returns label - each item shows a much lower cost price than what I paid (e.g £35 when I actually paid £47) etc. Which adds up to a big difference when combining multiple items. I don’t think it’s shipping fee as they are all 1 order

Also seen on trust pilot that sometimes they fail to pay the return at all so I’m scared of even sending the items back (it’s over £200 of clothing in total..)

I cannot find a phone number to contact them on and they are not responding to my email.

I’m really worried - sadly I used a debit card to pay and not PayPal. What can I do? :(

These days visa debit also offer to refund if you can't get a refund from the original company.

Why do you have £200 worth of clothes to return? Do you not want anything you bought? Confused

Bought a tshirt from Shein for my daughter, it was awful, such bad quality and so shapeless. Didn’t have an issue with returning it though.

It's because companies like SHEIN are just "portals", not actual designers / manufacturers. The clothes are sold to multiple other portals around the world, all of whom have different regs on imports and exports. In the UK, the cost you pay as delivery, includes the import duty. Returns are typically to the Chinese manufacturers, not the portal office, and you have to pay for any duty, plus comply with returns rules, which as far as I can tell, doesn't include the portal profits element. So, if a garment is priced at £35, but you were charged £45, that £10 was added on by the portal (SHEIN) and won't be refunded to you by the manufacturer.

Are you in the 14 day return window? If yes then I believe the distance selling legislation applies. However, if there's bad reviews on Trust Pilot then perhaps they are just shit? Like Comwales
