George Carlin
Doug Stanhope
Frankie Boyle
Rhod Gilbert (seen live too and face hurt from laughing so much)
James Acaster's dead pan is ace too

Taskmaster is the funniest current show I know, but as the format has become better known the celebs are getting a bit wiser to it and offer less chances to mock their pain.

The only 'comedy' people I've ever laughed out loud at were Matt Lucas on the show he did with David Walliams, Harry Enfield and friends and Caroline Aherne and Jessica Hynes (?) in the Royle Family.

My all time favourite is Dave Allen.
Sketch show Not the 9'o'clock News
Sit com, I use the term loosely, Black Adder and Frasier
Comedy Game show, torn between Would I Lie and Mock the Week but recently Bob Mortimer on Would I Lie was true comedy genius.
Just the sight of Eric Morcambe makes me smile.

Paul Foot talking about a shite horse at a local Fete made me laugh so hard a few years ago.
Kevin Bridges is great also.

In a live show:
Tim Minchin
Bill Bailey
Ross Noble
I love Would I Lie To You, especially the Bob Mortimer episodes.
I laughed so much at the Morecombe & Wise inspired show
The Play What I Wrote that I came out feeling like I’d pulled my stomach muscles! More recently The Play That Goes Wrong had my DD(8) & I laughing so much we got a headache!
On TV the episodes of Parks & Rec when they’re stuck on the ice rink & the one where ‘Lil Sebastian dies were comedy gold!

I used to watch a lot of Dave Allen when I was a very young child as my grandparents loved him. Of course the humour went over my head as I was too young.
I've seen some youtube clips and then started to look for more of his stuff. I find him very funny.

Bill Bailey. Genius of a man.
I used to really like him but he irritated the hell out of me the other week. He was on some weekend cookery show and they had a young band on playing their song. Bill Bailey was lolloping around with colanders and other kitchen stuff in the background being a bloody nuisance.
It came across as sad, attention seeking behavior. I just wished he'd let the young band have their moment without making it about him.

Over the years - teenager/early 20s- Jasper Carrott, Lenny Henry, Peter Sellers, Monty Python, Billy Connolly.
Since- 1990s onwards - Frasier, Simpsons, Sue in Sue and Giles, (The Supersizers), Harry Hill on Framed, Russell Kane.
All these have made me howl with laughter over the years.
