I agree with you about Maraed and stockholm syndrome. I used to teach in a women's prison and I am convinced that abused women with stockholm syndrome are very well represented behind bars. The trouble is that unless a person has experienced psychological abuse themselves, they cannot understand how a anyone can be so confused and frightened that they can be coerced into the most hienous acts. Women I have met have had their own and their children's lives threatened if they so much as thought about going to the police or seeking help. If you have not felt that fear, then you cannot even imagine it.

Anyone fed up of negotiating with a pre-schooler over television viewing? We've finally tamed the pestering with a simple trick - can't believe it didn't occur to me before! Other ideas welcome for when this stops working!

Anyone else on the 5:2 diet? Here is my 5:2 Friday post. Pretty frivolous given everything else that's going on this week.

Mme Lindor - I will try and catch up with your thread over the weekend

Mme Lindor, I did not have much to say, as I am 'just' a foodblogger and have been speechless (unusual) with the MN hate this week. So I just posted a brief message of support.

Ooh I've got another one to post, that's two in a week! As a one off, I've written a post about work- just to show my boss that I do some work as my posts are only ever about spending time with my baby! We're running a couple of competitions through work this week, all details are in the blog but the prizes are a fabulous hamper of goodies and a trip to Paris! Woop :)

Tonight I have an easy, low carb recipe for when you can't be arsed to 'properly' cook, but still want something tasty. Goes down a treat with a large glass of vino!
