I adore Pam Ayres. Her autobiography on Audible is an absolute joy.

Yes. It's really very good. I listen to it when I've had a hard day at work on the train home!

Ably assisted by DS who I have created in my own image...Grin

Humour gets us through life. I wish there were some modern day Ayres out there who'd write comedy on GC issues. How fantastic would that be!

Oh she's a joy! Wonderful. If your heart can take it, listen to the Akaroa Cannon.

Problem being of course that any gender critical poet that wants to keep their publisher would either be "an ally" or quickly learn to keep their own council. Even if they kept their publisher there's nowt to stop shop staff starting a campaign and refusing to sell their work.
I heard a new one yesterday on Talkradio when a presenter pointed out Twitter banning people for their opinions was taking away the freedom of speech. The woke ones answer was .....

"Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom to reach."

I had to laugh, I thought it was Peter Kay.😁
