Anyone who adores Jodi Picoult - what next?

I've read all Picoults books and found myself unable to put them down. I'm not bereft to have none left to read - which other authors/books have Picoult lovers gone on to read? I'm at my happiest when I have a good book on the go! Thanks so much

Have you tried Diane Chamberlain? I think they're better than Jodi Picoult but often on quite similar themes.

I was just about to say Diane Chamberlain - similar style but more consistent than Jodi Picoult I think.

Op I really enjoy Jodie Picoult as well. I've also read a good few Anna Quindlen books and they are even better, especially Every Last One, thought it was excellent Smile

I really enjoyed 19 minutes, my sisters keeper, The Pact, Plain Truth, Picture Perfect, I thought Salem Falls was very disappointing and the few after that I didn't like and stopped reading her stuff for a while then, so started reading Anna Quindlen, another good book of Quindlens is Black & Blue. Then I read The Storyteller & Sing you home and I thought they were excellent, particularly The Storyteller. I actually have Leaving Time to read yet, got it for my birthday recently so I'm looking forward to that, have you read it benetint I love it when you have a pile of really good books to get into Smile

Yes I would agree with PP about Diane Chamberlian being very similar in style to Jodi Picoult but I still prefer Picoult.
Absolutely loved The Storyteller ,best book I've read of hers in a while.
I was actually sobbing out loud at one of the ghetto flashback chapters , I think the last time that happened was 9 years ago when I read My Sisters Keeper and caught the Picoult bug.

I totally agree about The Story Teller. It was a wonderful book but so hard hitting at time wasn't it? Yes to sobbing loudly! I can still smell the bread in the bakery - amazing descriptions.

MrsStevenPatrick, yes I enjoyed Sing you home too. I have read Leaving Time and I thoroughly enjoyed it - the elephant descriptions were beautiful and I loved the spiritual element and the twist at the end - I won't give anything away though!

I've got a rare lady's day away tomorrow - is it bad that I'm most excited about getting two hours to read on the train?!

I Have read almost all of Jodi Picoult's book's, I moved on to Dorothey Koomson, marshmallows for breakfast, goodnight beautiful and my best friends girl are brilliant :)

I loved the Storyteller too, after I was just starting to go off the legal drama format of the picoult books that one was really refreshing. I just found the legal bit a bit repetitive in a few of her books and the verdict a bit outlandish!! (The one about the priest and the young boy comes to mind but I can't remember what it's called??)

I've read a lot of Diane chamberlain but couldn't get into the midwifes confession, I'll have to try again! They are all very easy to read and although most of them are about someone who's missing, it never gets boring!

Jodi Picoult is my favourite author. I LOVE all her books that I've read. I like Diane Chamberlain too but they're not as good as Jodi Picoult. I think some of Diane Chamberlain's are really good and some are just ok so very hit and miss. But i did really like The Midwife's Confession
