Have a holiday booked in 4 weeks and am surrounded by middle age spread~thanks to the mirena [and lots of cake]
Desperate to shift it and eat healthily as the years advance lol.
Started on friday at 12 stones and have already lost a few pounds as was so shocked to find out my weight when I bought some new scales.More than at full term with my pregnancies oops!

Please come and keep me company along the wayx

Stop seeing it as a four week diet and change your weight for ever. I've lost two stone in a month and actually it's not all that good - it's too fast. May I suggest you aim for losing a stone if you need to pick a goal.

BTW I did it with Paul Mckenna CDs in my ipod each night - for a month. Have been thin since and am thinner now than I was as a teen after being around a size 14 for 20 odd years.

Good luck though.

I'd love to join in - have put on nearly two stone since quitting smoking a year ago!

Desperate for ideas on healthy eating as I've tried Slimming World before and did lose weight but put it all back on when I stopped smoking and started eating ....

you really did it with Paul McKenna? I've got that somewhere I'm sure, might have to dig it out.

I'll join you. I need to loose about the same as you but agree would rather do it a bit slower. My brother gets married in September so am going to aim for that - want to loose about a stone and a half. Might start with Paul McKenna!

Yep. I've recently lost another stone - I was quite surprised actually - it wasn't till I went on the WII it told me! Tis very good, I did the craving busting thing and was unable to stomach chocolate for six months till it wore off a bit (should do it again soon actually).

I don't spend all day thinking about food anymore either and frankly I like myself a whole lot better now so wouldn't contemplate eating too much and making myself feel all sluggish and horrible again.

I have tons to lose. Can never decide what diet/plan to follow so just continue eating crap!

I have Paul McKenna too. May dig it out tonight. That loss is fab whomovedmychocolate!

Hi WMMC

Which Paul McKenna did you use? Might be worth investing in - I'd be more than happy to see it as a lifelong thing - don't really want to go down the SW/WW route as (to me) it only works short term and leaves me obsessing about food.

I just want to be able to eat a normal diet - only less of it if that makes sense ...

I think I generally eat a fairly healthy diet just too much!

That is great WMMC well done!

Mc Dreamy ~great .
I am not intending to lose 2 stones before holidays my main aim is losing my unattractive tummy which makes all clothes look awful!

Buda ~definitely join in
My aim is to eat healthily, got into some very bad habits over the winter which I'm more than happy to blame on the mirena lol.

Mmmm, okay then, here goes

I'm 5' 5" and 11.5 stone - would like to lose stone and a half but would settle for a stone. Hoping to not give up anything just cut back and do things in moderation .... and do exercise

similar to me then kdk.

am giving up bread and butter as I don't think it's healthy for me.
the only other things I'm giving up are unhealthy things high in fat/sugar.

My biggest aim is to reduce my abdominal girth ~this is a cardiovascular risk esp peri menopause onwards.

should clarify the 2 stones in the op is not to be lost in a month, that is to be lost long term to get to weight of 9st 7lb.

or when I get there will check bmi and take it from there.

can i squeeze my big bum in here...

ohbaby your weight and goal are very similar to mine.
i lost half a stone about a month ago (on Foodfocus), but nothing has happened since. so still need to lose about 1.5 stone to get back into bmi good numbers.

thank you.
but i eel like i've been milking that half stone weigt loss for far too long now .
the rest really needs to go.

i think i'm going to have to dust off the workout dvds and actually start doing them.

also ds (nearly 2) has got to that really active stage, where he just wants to go on walks all the time. downside is that he walks very slowly!!

ok, following last night near 100 % bread dinner, i think i'll start a fresh today.

current weight: 11st 7lbs
goal weight: 9st 10
(i'm 5ft 3in)

today i'm going to try to get 30 mins excercise video done.
probably some sort of salad for lunch.
back to smaller portions too!

i found FF quite useful, but gets easier using it once you've added in favourites.

hows your resolve today?
