if so, does anyone want to track progress on here to see how we feel/and if we lose weight each week?

I am pescatarian but have decided to cut fish, cheese, butter and yoghurt out for as long as I can bear it. Will have milk in tea and that’s it.
Happy to update here. Good luck!

I'm planning on doing just two weeks vegan, starting on 7th Jan. I do want to lose weight so will join you then.

I’m a full time vegan for moral/environmental reasons but happy to offer some advice Grin

Great!! I’m sure I’ll have a few questions once I get properly started (from Saturday) and I’ll do the first weigh in on the 11th 😀

Just wanted to say good luck- I had been wanting to lose a stone since having my second child (8 years ago Blush) and followed a predominantly plant based diet for 3 months last year and achieved it!

We are trying it .... apart from giving up eggs (we have hens), so not 100%. Might have cheese as well depending on how we get on with vegan cheese (in risotto etc.).

Cheese is local - made within ten miles of the house.

I think it is great in principle and fab that it is growing in popularity but many vegan convenience foods have a huge (and sometimes damaging) industrial process behind them, so for me it is important to keep things in context. My local cheese and home grown eggs are relatively good environmentally.

Started today! Felt like I’ve eaten loads but trying not to count calories and just eat healthy.

I’ve lost 2 pounds, been really good, don’t feel like I’m dieting!

My only thing is I’ve been stupid and been drinking the Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate you mix with water (40cals) only realised today it contains milk, anyone know of a good low calorie hot chocolate that’s vegan?

I will join in please - I only started on Tuesday as we were away for new year I have two stone to lose but also want to do it for all the health benefits that are advertised. I feel like I’m eating a lot but hopefully the scales will be in my favour. My first weigh in is Monday.

@xamyrose try the choc shot liquid chocolate from Holland and Barrett but you may need to mix it With an oat milk rather than water

I’ve just brought chocolate oat milk... will see how it goes!

I find I’m eating more bread and pasta? So need to get the salads out next week!

I’ve not eaten any pasta so far but have had rice - I’ve been eating the small whole meal Lidl wraps instead of bread as bread is my nemesis

I’ve just cooked this for tea it’s made a huge pot and it’s delicous (it used 2/3 tin of tomatoes and 1/3 tin of coconut milk )

It doesn’t look great but eat with your eyes closed 😂

Haven’t lost or gained this week. Had a bit of a stressful week so not been sticking to it

Plan to make up for it next week!

Hows everyone else done?
