Online family board games?

Can anyone recommend good sites for online board games and/or recommend games that might work well for ages 10-80? Looking for family things to do while social distancing and would really appreciate the help Flowers

There’s a good Ticket to Ride app. It says it supports ‘local multiplayer’ I’m not sure if those locals could be in different houses...

I'm keen on finding some too, particularly to play with my Mum online.

Not a board game but Mum and DD12 and I have been playing www.puzzgrid.com/ - it's like the final board from Only Connect, really addictive. We just have a Zoom call where I share my screen, and we try to solve it together. We've also been playing Boggle using this board (terrible UX but it's doable) - again I just share my screen and we both just write down our words as normal.

Please let us know if you find any more good ones!

@Hazelnutlatteplease would it be easy to connect with another household to play ticket to ride on steam?

I would have to boot my Dh off alien swarm

Yes ive done it tons of times before Coronavirus, but recently weve set up a (voice) phone call on speaker phone (just on the phone and a group whatssap) as well (we found steams voice chat more of a faff) so it worked of those not quite as quick typing and was more social

You do both need the game though. i actually think Carcassonne translates for the purposes of social online multiplayer better than ticket to ride tbh

Cluedo is great online and can be played as a family. It's on the Steam platform but not free.

Does anyone know how to set up a Kahoot! Quiz that you could do via zoom? I thought I'd have a go, bit only my screen showed the questions and I envisaged everyone's phone showing the questions, then us seeing each other via zoom if that makes sense? I'm not very technical!

Did you manage to set this up @Ilikefreshias

@Bottomplasters not quite but I got the quiz to show questions and answers on the same screen so it worked! We had funSmile

I was wondering about getting Table Top Simulator, but obviously the other family members would need to get it too. Has anyone bought this and is it worth it? I'm not sure if the older people in my family could handle the tech

I just download Table Top Simulator - it is a huge file, more than 1 GB so need to be patient with installation and download. Only used once, and it is fun but it does not feel something I would recommend for older people. On desktop you'll need a mouse with scroll button to properly use this, and feels complicated to use for the first time. And you'll need a separate online chat channel to talk to each other during playing. But once get the hint it can feel like you'll actually playing with a board game.
