Who wants to look at the filth I'm paying to stay in then?

Booked Airbnb no reviews as it was the first time they've done it. It's our one holiday of the year and we've worked really hard to save up.
The house is filthy, greasy marks all over the walls, toilets are absolutely black, everything you touch feels sticky and greasy
We want to leave but Airbnb won't refund us as the cleaning issues are "minor" the owner has offered to send round his cleaning team but I just want to go home Sad

Plug socket isn’t an issue for me, oven kind of annoying but the toilets being black is awful. What even makes toilets go like that?

Are you somewhere biggish that will have other accommodation you can move to?

Looking at the pictures, It’s not perfect. But it’s not exactly a filthy hell hole

How long are you due to stay for? I'd probably take the cleaning team I guess. Pretty disappointing though.

What's with that toilet?! Looks like it has paint down it!

Accept the cleaning team. If they wouldn't refund I just wouldn't miss out on my only holiday a year, even if it meant spending time to do it myself. How long are you there for? Obviously you'll leave them a suitable review on leaving.

Yuk. Every airbnb I've been to has been spotless. When can the owner send round their cleaning team? What did the place look like in the photos?

I'd go for the cleaning team.

It's fine... the plug socket is behind some drawers, he microwave has a normal amount of dirt in and the toilet is that the porcelain has worn down, not dirt....

If the house looks like that, I wouldn't hold out much hope for 'the owner's cleaning team' ...

Why is the toilet black?! That's hideous.

Nooo. Don't go home Sad. Get the cleaning team in and see how it looks before you decide.

Toilet looks like it has dark cleaning fluid in, but I'm guessing that's not the case?

I'd go with the cleaning team and ask them to book and pay for me to stay in a hotel for two night, I would not want to be around when the cleaning team are in or after with the chemicals. I think it looks disgusting.

Don't be a martyr. If you have no where else to go get the cleaning team in while you pop out for a few hours. It'll be so much better to come back to somewhere clean.

Is the plug behind a chest of drawers though ?

I let my brother stay once and the toilet looked liked that when I returned - turns out he was tipping the teapot into it...

Loo could have build up of limescale. Makes it look grim but doesn't mean it hasn't been cleaned.

is the toilet a build up of limescale and it just looks darker in the photo?

otherwise I can only think it's really old and had a white coating which is wearing away? hopefully from cleaning etc...!
