Class bear question

Please can anyone shed some light, how do you decide which child to give the class bear to?

I ask because we seem to get it on the half term/Xmas/Easter holidays, rather than your bog standard week. Have we done something to upset the teacher?!

In our school it's called 'listening bear' and it supposedly goes to the best listener of the week
Although I've requested that we don't have it immediately after I've given birth or in the week before I'm due and both teachers have agreed ha so I think there's an element of randomness too

My DS2 is a right royal pain in the ass. We got it the very first week and got a 'virgin' book. HTH

I thought it might be random, we just seem to been 'randomly ' selected for the busy weeks, where throwing in the extra effort of a class bear/photo project report just adds that little bit of extra stress!

She's only the 3rd to have it, we are a 'B', so that may explain it, this time round.
Elder DD1 had it later in the year though... different teachers for each child..

For extra fun, give it to the most competitive/pushy parents back to back Grin!

DS had no interest in the class bear neither did I so I said in the book that said class bear wanted to play hide and seek but that he hid himself too well and we only found him on the Monday morning. Grin

In my last class the star of the week got him (which made it much easier for me) but he never went home in half terms or holidays.

It's generally pretty random. Although if a parent has been a bit of a pork chop then they might get it on a weekend that I know they are particularly busy.

We have to get our kicks somehow. Wink
