The litter tray

Does having a cat make you lazy?

Since getting Miss Furry Mittens, I have noticed how much longer it takes me to get out of bed plus I spend way more time doing nothing but sit on the sofa. All instances with a ball of cat on me of course.

Currently trapped in armchair unable to move in case I wake her. At this rate I’m never going to get anything done ever again!

Sometimes. In the evening I can never make the hot drinks as I have a cat or two on me.

But this morning I sat in the conservatory to do a ton of paperwork and Felix decided he wanted to go out. Then come back in. Then go back out. Then come back in but run away when I open the door. You get the picture. He was in a funny mood and kept galloping round the garden and house while all the others looked on in disgust because they were trying to sleep!

We have five plus a foster at the moment so it's a never ending task of feeding, clearing litter trays, brushing, strokes, and cuddles. Wouldn't have it any other way.

You have to be mean and move them sometimes. There is probably a German word for the guilt this causes Grin

I’m not allowed to move while DCat gets his baby bump time!

It is a crime to get up when cat is on lap.
It is a crime to disturb a cat whatever they are doing.
It is a crime not to answer your cats needs immediately.

Once you understand that the issue is resolved. You are just a law abiding catizen.

Yeah, we call it 'cat privilege', i.e. whoever had the cat on their lap (me usually) can't move, someone else has to bring them drinks/snacks etc. She often doesn't move for the entire evening so it quite some commitment!

Mine don’t do laps but lie next to me. It’s bad enough that when I finally sit down after work they’ve clocked YouTube is on the main telly they get in my face until I put some kind of bird show on

Also, when you actually have to move them in extreme emergency situations, do they all let out a deeply offended moan?!

I’m trying to figure out how much of a diva DobopCat is comparatively.

"I'm under the cat" is a legal get out of making drink/food/doing housework claws. Grin

@AllTheWittyNamesAreGone Indeed I am! Although I would like to point out that the picture wasn’t taken today so I wasn’t sat in my PJs at 1pm lol.

Get up for lunch. You mean you make her move. Bad cat slave. Lunch should be served where she is!
