How to choose between two kittens?

Just that really! We need to choose between one all black kitten and one black and white. Both lovely, nothing to distinguish between them personality wise, they were nosey, happy being handled etc. As a family (there's five of us) we can't agree which one to have and we can't have both because I'm being sensible!!
I need to confirm tonight which one we'd like.......help!

I have a black and white but was looking for a black cat as they are usually the last to be adopted. I live our black and white - she has really ugly markings and a friendly personality. If I had to be brutal I would pick the one least likely to be adopted by someone else.

Yes, ideally both. But if that's really really not an option then get the black one, because those are the least likely to be adopted apparently. And because then you'll have a mini panther.

Having both will be easier for you in the long run as they will keep each other company and play with each other when your arms are tired of throwing balls and dangling feathers on sticks. So, both is actually the more sensible option.

We were getting a kitten just after new year and ended up getting two. It was the best thing we could have done. They keep each other company, play together and generally make our lives easier as they have each other. If you can afford the double insurance, food and litter then I would absolutely recommend it.

We have a long haired boy and short haired girl.

Ha ha, save the house getting shredded!!
Many moons ago I was in a house which had that blown vinyl wallpaper everywhere... had 2 kittens, little buggers used to run up the wallpaper
( was only supposed to get one as well but couldnt chose and only reason I didnt take the 3 was that sspca had another person waiting to take one!) Definately get 2 they are so comical to watch together.

From very recent experience if at all possible I would say get both.

Our new kitten isn't even here yet and I already regret not getting a pair. It's too late now .
She'll be fine and very much loved but I think it would have been nicer for her to keep a kitty sibling.

If you can only take one I like the pp's logic of getting the least likely adoptee and the idea of a mini black panther
