I am. This will out me, so I have nc.

I'm looking for a 3rd dog for 'work'; stables, canixrossing and bikejoring. Old Kelpie now retired. Dog2 just an idiot.

So dog 3 needs to be a male kelpie. Primary school age children, secure garden. Fit and healthy. Good with horses and recall. VERY specific, and so far nothing available. And that's fine as I'll need to work on DH anyway Smile

But am I alone in 'browsing'. Online only, not actually around kennels I'd end up with something ridiculous like a beautiful sofa surfing greyhoundShock

Yes, almost as much as I'm on mumsnet Grin.

Then want to rehome about half of them, and not in a position to rehome any right now Sad

Oh thank god. I thought it was just me.

I've been home all day today (rare) and have browsed every bloody dog website in the uk.

I'm going to have to clear my browser history and pretend I've been looking at dating websites.

Yes me. I’m not in a position to have one right now, but I can dream, and decide on breed, and names etc, which will promptly change with the very next pair of big brown eyes staring up at me.

Oh yes! Right move, Mumsnet & various rescuse/for sale sites are what keep me awake in the wee small hours Envy

I do this even though I know with the issues our dog has it wouldn't be right for her or us, it's nice to dream though.
Are you on Facebook? Have you seen the canicross dogs for rehoming page? They might have a dog that fits what you're looking for?

I was on the canix rehoming page, but came off when we weren't in a position to adopt. Maybe I should go back on, as there might be dogs that aren't on normal rescue sites.

I do this. Once got as far as convincing myself I could definitely look after an alpaca. He looked so lonely and needed rehabilitation.
We’re already outnumbered by animals.

I spend hours looking at sad little faces on rescue websites even though we can't really get another. We got Ddog from a rescue last year, she's reactive and they were clear she had to be an only dog, but I still show her pictures on my phone and try to convince her she needs a brother or sister. Usually met with a stony eyed stare!

Haha I love the idea of convincing a dog it needs a friend.

I've been known to tell dog 2 how disappointed I am in her that she's horrible to other girls.

She came from cypress fgs she should know and understand the plight of the others!

A friend mine took her dog to a rescue centre and let him choose his new sister - worked brilliantly!

Yes. I have rescues on shortcut on my home screen.
It is making me sad now though as I'm no longer in a position to get a second dog because stbexh is being an utter arse about money.

I keep looking at one dog in particular- she is such a lovely sounding dog and all goofy and happy looking.

I browse the Oldies Club and fall in love every time. (I can't have a dog, we live in a flat.)

Yes I visit a few different sites everyday. My own dog died about 6 months ago, my problem is that this stray cat has become a regular visitor and sleeps in our house now( he was sleeping in a neighbours shed). He really helped me when my dog died. I know that if I got a dog he would be too nervous of it and probably stop visiting and begin living outside again. I can't bring a dog in knowing it would end up with the cat becoming homeless again. Still doesn't stop me looking though

OMG. Cross-eyed, three-legged, head-tilted giant of a dog. I am in love (again).

Oh, all the time. I always want the ones that nobody applies for. We’ve already got two dogs, and regularly have PIL’s dog to stay as well. Not sure four dogs running around our little house is ideal, but surely if nooooooone else applies, we could find space?!

I’m tempted to become a dog fosterer, but I worry the fosters would never leave...
