Yes, I called him penis dog on here by mistake about 10 years ago so he's always been PenisDog on mumsnet .
We are all pretty sad, they were our family dogs, I know it will get better but losing two so close together is so hard.
They become part of the family without you really realising , don't they

That's so sad, I'm sorry. They are part of your every day, a huge miss. We lost our ddog in August and I still can't believe he's gone and keep expecting to hear him trotting about.
They are such fabulous little souls.

Sympathy as requested. We lost our dear girl this week too. Everything is just "wrong". No dear dog to leave a little but of meat from lunch for. No dear dog to take to the allotment. No dear dog barking cos a bird flew past the window. Just, everything feels wrong.

I try to remind myself that this is the price we pay for having their love and devotion in our lives.

So sorry for your loss they literally are a family member aren't they.
Our dog was nearly 17 when we had to say goodbye 18 months ago, I was totally lost without him, but it does get easier with time. Each time I see a dog like him I want to go and stroke because I miss him so much. Really can't get another though until the kids are older.
I have his id tag on my key bunch and we have a canvas of him on the wall, randomly I feel like he's here and I like to imagine that he is in some form.
