I'm lucky enough to live in the country and have two fabulous dogs, both scruffy working types and getting on a bit now. As a child I wasn't allowed pets, so had imaginary ones insteadBlush

I find I still fantasise and sometimes dream about other dogs I may one day have though ( then feel awful).

Here's the thing. I'm a bit obsessed with poodles and have no idea why. I can imagine owning two standard poodles called Percy and Valerie. ( not clipped, obviously)

Oh me too. ! I have a bc - from working stock in Wales. But he's a blue merle - grey and white with blue eyes and shepherds tend to avoid them. Super clever and soppy as anything.

I also love cats and look at cpl websites as other people do porn or dating sites. I am so sad.

I have two dogs I adore. My very elderly Rottwieler and my Stafford. I love them both but I dream of a liver & white springer named Archie. Me and Archie have spent endless happy days wandering around the beaches in the western highlands. ...some day I will meet my Archie.

A sloughi bitch, sand with a black mask. I'd call her Chani after the character in Dune and my whippet boys would all be absolutely besotted with her. I've clearly thought about this too much Blush

My husband and I had an imaginary dog for years. We made up songs about her and discussed what she would sniff and roll in on our walks. An unexpected tax rebate turned her into a real dog (same name and same songs). She's better than when she was imaginary but she smells a lot worse now.

I have two real dogs who are more than enough for me, and then a third, imaginary dog. She's a Samoyed named Ripley and obviously I have enough time, money and land for the three of them to run around together, not to mention the grooming she would require.

Rufus the red setter. Until we have the time to give a dog the attention attend companionship they need, we are sticking with an imaginary friend.

If I had the money I would like to get my ddog Loki a little doggy brother he would be a chihuahua called Thor.
But I also don't think my ddog would like a little brother as he's spoilt and would hate to share.
So thor will have to remain imaginary.

A Dalmatian named Kevin (he's a nutter!)

And a Pug named Roscoe.

Oh yes! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. He's a scruffy, bearded collie cross type of grey thing called Bertie. He has massive paws.

Oh yes! I'm so glad it's not just me. They're called Henry & Zeus. Henry is a very studly St & Zeus is gorgeous brown Newf. I think they'll always be imaginary though as I don't like spaying my bitches & I don't want any surprises either!

petra if you're ever At apple cross with Bertie, I'm sure he'd love to play on the beach with Percy and Valerie ( and our current, real dogs)

So glad I'm not alone with this Smile

A boisterous boxer called Bruiser. Based closely on my favourite childhood dog sadly I don't have the room or time for a boxer puppy at the moment, but one day. Smile

I too have an imaginary poodle (nothing like the breeds I own)
The poodle is called Ianto and is quite naughty - but not as naughty as my (real) JRT.

Oh yes. As a child, not allowed a dog, so me and my dad had 'Rufus'- a shaggy eared cross breed Smile

Now I'm an adult, I have 2 real dogs, but DH and I have a third imaginary one, a chihuahua. We 'carry him round and stroke him' GrinGrinGrin

My DD (who is 3.5yo) for the last 4 months has had an imaginary dog called Timothy like the dog George has in the Famous Five (we are reading her the famous five stories). He goes everywhere with us, she never EVER forgets to put on his collar and lead before we go out, she makes sure he is strapped in in the car and she feeds him every night when she finishes her tea. From her description, timothy is smallish, brown with big ears.

We are now looking for a puppy as the continued emotional battering is too much for me! Timothy first appeared after our old boy (who was around her entire life and was devoted to her) was sadly pts last year. The last few months he has become a huge presence in our lives!

I imagine have a large, soppy Rottweiler called Moishe who sticks his nose in my ear first thing in the morning like my dog used to do. DP will never allow anything larger than a daschund in the house Grin

My imaginary dog is called Baily and its a Labrador puppy and its only 4 months old (2 years old in human years) he likes to go outside on walks which we call walkies and he has his favourite toy is a blue bouncy ball. Our favourite game is fetch and a small tug of war. His favourite food is Pedigree Puppy Jelly. He only wants to sleep on a blue blanket which is on my bed. Although he is just an imaginary dog i still love him very much and the reason i dont have a real dog is because im allergic to animal hair and my sisters are very scared of dogs, cats, rabbits pretty much every animal. some peaple do call me wierd for having an imaginary dog and treating him like he is a real dog but i dont care and i might start a youtube channel about me and Baily! what do you think?

But I have a dream of getting a border terrier, she would be called Betty 😊

I have Raven the grey and white ex racing Greyhound. She was a little more nervous than we were expecting, but she settled in beautifully. Although she isn't overly fussed on our (real)Newfie I do occasionally catch them snuggled up.

I'm slowly chipping away at dhs insistence we're not having a second dog. I want to make Raven real.
