It does look as though it's gone...

I know, I was posting on it! Wrote someting rather cheeky last night, then had to go out. Am checking now what response I had and it's totally vanished!!!! How weird?

i think it's been deleted. perhaps they were expecting a more positive reception...

Report
penona · 02/09/2009 14:41

Didn't know you could do that? Do you ask MN or something? V suspicious. Shall wait and see if the schedule changes next week!

Report
warthog · 02/09/2009 14:42

yes, i think you can report a post and ask for the whole thread to be deleted.

Just had a look on the CBeebies website and they are advertising a change to the schedule from 5 Sept to ditch 64 Zoo lane and Charlie and Lola and show Waybuloo instead.... so it's still happening, even if all the posters yesterday hated it!

Oh it's gone. I did tell cbeebies to beggar orf on it.

Very strange. Perhaps they wanted a more enthusiastic and kinder response.

I think only the OP can ask for a whole thread to be deleted unless it's a terribly offensive thread then obviously anybody can.

What was the new line up again? I can only remember

1800 - Waybuloo
1820 - ITNG

Thankfully ds is loving waybuloo just now

Actually Penona - i have to agree with what you wrote last night - i was in ELC yesterday and the ammount of Waybaloo merchandise they had in stock was incredible.

That is the new line up. Just in time for Christmas. 2 half hour shows with lots of merchandise for which the BBC owns the copyright. Cynical, me?

Report
ShowOfHands · 02/09/2009 15:01

Cynical? Realistic more like. It's a shame.

PuppyMonkey · 02/09/2009 15:03

Thank God for the that, can't bloody stand 64 Zoo Lane...

Report
Dontpanic · 02/09/2009 15:22

There's one with a hump, and one who can jump...aw, how can i inflict torture on DS of an evening now without that to sing along to? Mind you, he's even more hypotised by Waybuloo than by ITNG. This can only be a good thing, unless you're in Asda and they've rearranged all the sodding aisles and you go down the kiddy toy one by mistake...doh!

I was ambivalent about Waybuloo - although DD (18 months) loves it - until my MIL showed me an article about baby yoga being the new big thing in the USA. Just made me wonder if Cbeebies is focused on a bigger and more commercial audience?

DD also loves 64 Zoo Lane so I'll be sorry to see that go.

Also a shame if the OP has been told to remove the thread by his/her boss (assuming a bbc insider), personally I thought it was a reasonable idea to canvass opinion here even if our responses were negative.

Was wondering myself as it wasn't in "threads I'm on". I posted on it last night. Presumed the OP was "legit" but maybe not. Still agree with Penona that the schedule change is motivated by flogging Waybuloo tat though.

Any news on why it was pulled, MNHQ?

BTW Wasn't it just Waybuloo, ITNG, bedtime story? (and inane singing from the wooden pair)

Now I'm nosey as to why it's gone. I thought it just me being a bit thick when I couldn't find it again.

Wow, I've never seen my daughter as angry as she was last night! No 64 zoo lane and no Charlie and Lola. She holds Alex and Cerrie personally responsible! Apparently cbeebies is dead to her now. Bang goes or post dinner wind down solution.

God I'm so glad I'm not the only one whose DS is a total telly addict - well bedtime hour anyway! He kicked right off that there was no Charlie and Lola - it's his favourite thing at the mo. He used to love ITNG but is pretty non fussed about it now, and as for Waybuloo - "I don't like pitkins!!!" is his cry whenever it comes on.

By the way, does anyone else think Kerry and Alex are shagging? Am convinced of this.

Oh good god ive got all that to look forward to coming in on the delivery then. Id only just managed to start liking the timmy time merchandise.

But cbeebies is aimed at preschool to 7yrs (if you take the birthday song into mind) so WHY make the entire bedtime hour pre-school preference?

it has actually infuriated me and is utterly crap.

I will now be banning cbeebies as clearly they think it's only for babies

I like waybaloo DD (22 months)started doing Yogo with them tonight. I've been trying to get her to do that for a while .
I was getting well sick of ITNG and we watching til 6.30 and then go up for stories and cuddles so I'm happy about the change of line up.
