Did anyone catch the start of the new Teen Mum UK series?! I have only just caught up on it.

I cannot believe how awful Chloe is! Utterly spoilt (facilitated by her parents) and mithering her OH to move house. Drives me mad.

Glad Sassi has more independence with her new job and house.

As for Amber and Shannon - my mind boggles as to why they are having their second kids each...

Really cannot stand the way Chloe behaves on the show. I'm not sure if she gets a bad edit or what but she comes across as intolerable.

I was also flabbergasted by Dylan's "bright idea" to try for a baby with Ree-Ann. I mean wtf? Four kids under 3 between them. He will do to her exactly what he did to Megan.

I want to see Sassi do well without Darren, she has ambition and she's worked so hard on her anger issues. I really like Sassi.

I was watching an episode from season one the other day and was struck by how much more confident and sure of herself amber was back then. Since becoming obsessed with Ste again she seems to have completely deflated. She wanted to go to uni and be a social worker in the first season! They've already split up so goodness knows what the future holds for her.

I don't really have much to say about Shannon and Charlie 🤷🏻‍♀️

@GoodBoyGhost am I missing something, does Ree-Ann already have a child or does Dylan have one with someone else other than Megan? I agree that situation is ridiculous and I don’t know why they move so quickly.

Sad to hear that Amber and Ste are no longer together, why did they break up?

I used to think Chloe was ambitious and admired her for it but she's gone too far now. She nags and nags until she gets her own way. They've only been in that house a year, they're not even 20 and Jordan's had depression & she wants to put more pressures on like a mortgage double the size??

That's exactly it @Moomin8 - I'm not sure if it's the editing but C comes across as an absolute nag, hounding her OH about the house and picking him apart about his lack of ambition etc.

On Twitter she has updated to say this is all clever editing and it was actually Jordan's idea to look into a bigger home - but surely after doing the maths and seeing that an increased mortgage would result in a lower quality of life (no money for holidays or fun stuff at the age of 20!), he should be allowed to say it's not a good idea!

I totally agree re: Amber - she once had ambitions beyond Ste. Also, what does she do for a living to justify maintaining two kids and now a scrawny little dog in the household?!

On a really mean note, I'm glad that Brooklyn and Theodore appear to be in proper clothes and not just wearing nappies running around the house!

Prepared to be flamed but it knocks me sick all of them continuing to have babies when they are in shit relationships or no relationship and on benefits doing nothing to try and make something of themselves and mtv continue to film it it's meant to put young girls OFF getting pregnant but watching them get houses etc isn't going to do that

I do think its much more realistic than the american versions now where the girls earn mega money. I dont think anyone on the uk one owns a house except Chloe and it does also show them both having to juggle work and their child, arguing about money etc

I think Sassi has become my favourite. She seems really ambitious and determined.

Chloe is so spoilt. She doesnt need a 4 bed house, especially only after a year of living in the one they're in.

Megan pretends like she isnt bothered about Dylan but she isnt over him at all.

I agree about Amber, she was stronger without Ste.

The Shannon/Charlie stuff is just a mess. Did you see him whisper "im actually gutted" after the gender reveal

I hadn't realised that @GoodBoyGhost - but it makes sense as Dylan said something in Ep 1 about how she treats all of the kids the same - presumably meaning her own child and his.

I do still think Dylan is the dictionary definition of a MN cocklodger though - why does Ree-Ann endure him and his kids in her flat?! And remember when she was lumbered with looking after the dog Bobo there too?!

The Ree-Ann situation reminds me of the Ryan and Mackenzie situation on the USA show. I think both of those women are after a bit of the MTV fame.

Chloe's a spoilt brat enabled by everyone around her. I don't believe for one minute that it was Jordan's idea to go look at that house. I wonder if she's paid her aunt back for the flooring in the house they're living in now yet?

Megan isn't over Dylan. Dylan shouldn't be having any more babies, with anyone, until he learns to look after the ones he has and treat their mother with respect.

Sassi will end up going back and forth with Darren.

Amber and Ste will split up again. She's constantly pecking at his head, he loves the idea of a family, he doesn't love her. Why they're having another baby is beyond me.

Shannon and Charlie are toxic. They shouldn't be together and they definitely shouldn't be having another baby.

I do feel quite uneasy over Shannon and Charlie. Their relationship seems quite volatile and always on/off. You just can't operate that way when you have children involved.

I just feel so sad watching her scenes - she seems to spend all her time in that flat with the baby and has little else in her life. Her GCSE results were poor and I worry about her future with 2 babies if/when she and Charlie break up for good...

On a positive note, I love how she was actively shown breastfeeding in the earlier series - what a great message to send out to young mums.

Amber: Agree with PP its frustrating to see Amber lose her spark to go and forge a career. Its tough to say, but: you can go back with one child and re-start GCSEs, other qualifications etc, but surely its near impossible to be adding to your family and thinking you can work your way out of being on benefits at the same time.

Chloe: I wonder if Chloe and Jordan are actually the least dramatic couple, but they show needs drama - so maybe they're encouraged to have scenes where they're looking at a house that's double the size, and double the mortgage, that they don't even really need. With Chloe coming out as a brat in the edit. Struggling to see how they'd be approved to take on a mortgage of that size when they only got their current one 1 year ago, imagining neither of their salaries had doubled??

Sassi: Probably always been my favourite as feel like she takes the least amount of shit, but they'll always be room in her heart for Darren it appears - even though he'll clearly never be partner of the year! He does seem to be a good dad though.

Shannon: Glutton for drama (and punishment!). Charlie will probably up and leave for good in the not too distant future. He doesn't actually live with her does he? Winterfellismyhome I didn't hear that comment from him at the gender reveal I guess it translates to him reckoning Shannon will want baby no.3 hoping it'll be a girl!

Megan: Hoping she starts thinking about life beyond Dylan. Appreciate she has 2 small kids, but can't help feel she's just waiting for him to break up with Ree-Ann to go back to her (if only for a short while) rather than about meeting someone new. Her sister is a good egg though, she should make sure she listens to her advice! Megan's mum, step-dad and sister must have felt like they were banging their heads against a wall with her!

@GoodBoyGhost - I think Meghan and her family do somehow think Dylan will come back and they will all be a big happy family again, forgetting that Ree-Ann (and all his previous infidelities...).

How weird was it to see Billie (Meg's sister) without her giant false lashes? So much better!

I am flabbergasted as their lack of maturity, aspiration and the drama - falling in and out of love, being boyfriend and girlfriend etc. That crap is fine when when you are 18 or even 20, but surely once you have kids you need to buck up?

*Family home owned by him and in his name only, of course. Great financial security for Shannon there!

Chloe comes across as such a spoiled brat on the show. It doesn't seem she'll ever be satisfied, there will always be something more/bigger/better that she wants.
Jordan seems really tied to her with the house, his job working for her family.

Sassi, I find myself really rooting for her. She really deserves a break. I laughed at her getting him the snake hat!!

Amber and Ste, I think will go on being on/off forever. They can't be together but don't seem to be happy apart either.

Megan and Dylan, Dylan is an absolute dick to even consider having another baby. God knows what Reee-Ann see's in him.
Megan needs to stop dwelling on the past. I thought she was really rude when Dylan's Dad was talking to her and she was just on her phone. Her family seemed to make things more difficult when they were together under the guise of being protective over her.

Shannon and Charlie, what's the deal with them? Why don't they live together? It doesn't seem like things will end well for them. Theodore is adorable though!
