Episode 1 of 8 last night - really enjoyed it.

Girl missing for years turns up dead after escaping from man in woods. Seems to be a connection with other missing girl(s).

Main character is woman detective who has returned home to 'rural' Wales to help sisters care for dying (ex chief of police) father in really trendy house by sea.

It's got everything stylewise - great locations, brooding atmosphere, dark beautiful scenery, interesting property and decor - the police station has amzing stairs and wood panelling/cladding. Good clothes and hair.

And an interesting contemporary story with developing connected strands - other missing girls - other women who may be kidnapped.

Possible kidnapper who lives with mother and dogs in amazing house in woods and also has underground cellar/bunker - is this where the girls are kept?

We enjoyed it and would recommend.

Loved it too. Very much a The Bridge vibe, down to Saga lookalike detective.
Also proved that North Welsh is a different language to South Welsh and they speak it so fast.

Loved the way that some of the subtitles continued once they'd changed to English

I’ve watched the welsh version of this which was shown earlier this year and it was brilliant.
We’re enjoying the rewatch very much.

I've just been to Snowdon and recognised some of the scenery, it's a stunningly beautiful place. Loving this so far

Totally loving this still.

Three episodes in and think it's one of the best things on TV at the moment and one of the best police/thrillers I've seen in years.

Characters are great. Acting is great. Scenery is stunning. Story being told at just the right pace.

I’m finding it painfully slow/ a bit style(dark/brooding looks) over substance. And the soundtrack is annoying rather than atmospheric.I’ve come this far though, so I’ll stick with it Grin

Discovered this on catch up yesterday and watched the first two episodes. Watched the third this evening. Quite good - enough to draw me in.

Our brave detective's dying father (former chief copper) is a bit of a stumbling block for me, though - hope I'm wrong, but his deathbed scene will probably coincide with the breakthrough in collaring the villain and our heroine will be torn between familial duty and nicking the crim.

The crim's mother seems very nasty too.

What is that council housing estate with the totally awful block of a brutalist-architecture church on its sidelines? That creeped me out almost as much as Creepy Bloke.
