Yep! That is totally a man that is trying to dress like a lady grin

I'm a massive Dr who fan. I'm excited to see the role portrayed by Jodie. Just saw the outfit on fb. I think it's gonna take a bit of getting used to. I really like the coat though. They may have gone a little too masculine with it. Not sure yet.

WhirlwindHugs Thu 09-Nov-17 13:53:58

It feels quite eleven. Very "What? I'm the Doctor. This is how I dress!"

raisinsarenottheonlyfruit Thu 09-Nov-17 13:54:48

Hmm. I'm not sure. I don't hate it but her coat looks a bit ... safe.

The main clothes are fine. But the coat doesn't look very Dr-Whoy to me.
I'd prefer a darker look.

WhirlwindHugs Thu 09-Nov-17 13:55:39

It's hard to tell what it will look like moving around which is kind of key I think.

The lighter colour of the coat reminds me of the Sylvester McCoy / Peter Davidson era. I don't want the new Doctor to remind me of the Sylvester McCoy / Peter Davidson era!

But yesm you're right, let's wait and see. Excited for the Christmas special!

SoupDragon Thu 09-Nov-17 14:00:31

She looks ridiculous.

WhirlwindHugs Thu 09-Nov-17 14:01:12

The other new series Doctors have all had a few different shirts etc, but all done not that obviously apart from the odd totally new/similar suit. I'm not sure how they're going to do that with this!

I love her boots though.

RollerCoasterProteinSpill Thu 09-Nov-17 14:01:21

Braces vs. Breasts looks like an uncomfortable style decision.

SoupDragon Thu 09-Nov-17 14:01:57

Could they not afford trousers that reach her feet?

I get that the doctor generally looks "quirky" but this just looks ŵrong.

JonSnowsWife Thu 09-Nov-17 14:03:14

I like it. <shrugs>

SoupDragon Thu 09-Nov-17 14:03:15

Coat, fine
Boots, fine
Top, not keen on the stripe but fine.
The trousers spoil it for me.

missfliss Thu 09-Nov-17 14:06:33

I like it too

WhirlwindHugs Thu 09-Nov-17 14:10:38

I'm a bit on the fence about the trousers, but I'll get used to it. I always do!

MoonfaceAndSilky Thu 09-Nov-17 14:10:49

I don't want the new Doctor to remind me of the Sylvester McCoy / Peter Davidson era!

Ooh no, I don't like her and I don't like the outfit sad

flingingmelon Thu 09-Nov-17 14:14:02

Loose the braces, switch the coat for something a bit better and it’d be kinda cool.

As is - bit kids tv presenter.

SoupDragon Thu 09-Nov-17 14:17:59

For me the trousers need to be longer, even if they only reach halfway down the boots - Matt Smith's trousers had the "too short" look but they were only by a few inches and, to me, looked fine. The rest of her outfit falls into quirky territory, the trouser length is just wrong. And impractically chilly!

I prefer the outfits of the other re-boot doctors. Tom Baker was perhaps the last decently dressed traditional doctor.

Walnutwhiplash Thu 09-Nov-17 14:30:09

O no she looks like Morkconfused

SoupDragon Thu 09-Nov-17 14:35:31

At least Mork's trousers were long enough though smile

Itsanicehotel Thu 09-Nov-17 15:10:43

*was just about to say she looks like Mork. It’s clear I’m not the only one. Not a great look. They could have done a lot lot better than this.

SoupDragon Thu 09-Nov-17 18:13:58

The modern doctors seem to have had practical costumes so far. This doesn't seem at all practical at all. I think that is actually what bothers me.

bruffin Thu 09-Nov-17 18:16:11

First thing i said to ds when he showed me was Mork and Mindy
