I know Hmm unless he's going to be a surprise for us ! But in real life he was only around the first few years in Victoria's circle so sadly I don't think he will be in this series .

Oh well. Whoever played Albert was also quite nice if I remember correctly!

Yessss! Rufus Sewell! Reason I watched in the 1st place!

although Ernst is easy on the eye too. I guess he'll be back.

Newspapers speculating if Jenna and Tom are engaged.

Ha ha I know materialism and all that, but if someone bought me an opal dress ring as an engagement ring I'd be a tad disappointed! Probably winding up the press and getting a bit of publicity.

Pity. I did enjoy Rufus in the first series (never fancied him when he was younger, but my he's ageing well).

Tom Hughes is very pretty though, so that's something.

UPDATE sorry it's the Express

Woo-hoo!

Crazy its been on ITV encore the past few weeks, on sky 123.

they do repeaT it quite a bit, unless you have catch up.

Hope series 2 is as good as series 1.

was watching dvds of Sarah jane Adventures. Tommy Knight still looks the same! he hasnt aged at all.

Tom Hughes sans moustache looks a bit blah to me.

however, with moustache he looks like Ron( or is it Russell) Mael from Sparks. ''this palace aint big enough for the both of us....'' Grin.

Two threads and no one seems to have watched it?

I know it's going to get more annoying but good god, Albert needs to be to,d what's what. Why did she marry? Bet no one treated Elizabeth I like that!

I think it was excellent,,,and if any way resembling the truth, and I don't know if it was, then she was quite an admirable character really.

I enjoyed just having a Sunday night costume drama to watch thought they overdid the helmet chat but it wasn't a bad first episode . Wonder if Albert's brother will make any new female friends this series Wink

I'm planning to read a biography, I haven't studied her in detail but know something about the general politics of the period. I often wonder, if she hadn't married might she have been on the side of women's suffrage? Could things have improved for women much earlier in that case? Of course we didn't even have universal male suffrage then.

It's documented that V & A had screaming rows and threw things.

There wasn't just one survivor from the Khyber Pass but it is, I think, one of our biggest military balls ups. About 100 left out of 4000? The cartoon they showed is a real one, it's in a book here somewhere.

Anyway, a descendant of the survivor shown has tweeted. Lovely scene, no idea how realistic it was though.

I don't like Mr Francatelli, I think Skerritt will be happier without.

I watched it and enjoyed it but would like to more about the cast member who died and was mentioned on screen at the end. She was very young and highly thought of if the go fund me page set up for her daughter is anything to go by.

Yes I wondered about the staff member too. Very sad, we googled her at the end,

I found the series has made me more interested in Victoria. For example I was unaware she had nine children and found having children an unappealing side effect of marriage. I also didn't realise she was only 18 when she became queen. That Albert was her first cousin and she proposed after five days. I shoulda paid attention in school Grin
