DH says it's too predictable with the husband changing personality but I'm finding it quite jumpy. I've resorted to watching from behind the safety of a rather plump staffy and a cushion. The ad breaks are really winding me up though.

Is predictable but still scary especially when the woman walks past the door

I'm not feeling it, tbh. It seems like a bundle of haunted house cliches jammed together.
The blood thing is a bit grim, too.

I am watching. Dp is out and I am beginning to get freaked out.

Showy Sat 27-Dec-14 22:47:20

It's horribly contrived.

ThisFenceIsComfy Sat 27-Dec-14 22:47:48

It's not bad. Not too scary

CeeloWeevil Sat 27-Dec-14 22:48:13

It's very contrived but still very scary

ThePortlyPinUp Sat 27-Dec-14 22:49:10

Some of it is definitely predictable, we knew that the man who visited would turn out to be the dead man. I'm finding the blood and the dad's sexual gratification from blood a bit hard to stomach. DH has completely given up watching it but it staying down here with me so that I don't have to watch it alone fblush

I keep feeling they really wanted Olivia Coleman for the lead.

ThePortlyPinUp Sat 27-Dec-14 22:51:05

Definitely agree with Olivia Coleman!

MercuryRising Sat 27-Dec-14 22:52:09

The dad's fascination with blood is grim. The Woman in Black adverts are scaring me more I just nearly spilt my drink!

perplexedpirate Sat 27-Dec-14 22:58:20

Too many different ghosts!

ThisFenceIsComfy Sat 27-Dec-14 22:59:32

I don't like cellars

ThePortlyPinUp Sat 27-Dec-14 23:01:49

I think I might have weed a little.

meltedmonterayjack Sat 27-Dec-14 23:02:03

I gave up at 10.30. Didn't like the blood lust thing or change of personality of Dad. Not my sort of ghost story this. Was really looking forward to it too.

bottleofbeer Sat 27-Dec-14 23:04:31

I can't get past one woman supposedly restoring a huge house, on her own, in six months?

ThePortlyPinUp Sat 27-Dec-14 23:25:04

Argh I didn't like that ending!

Jollyphonics Sat 27-Dec-14 23:27:27

What was that ending all about? I missed the early parts, so what's the significance of the knuckle cracking and the ring, and the Dad saying "I love you petal"?

TheCritic Sat 27-Dec-14 23:28:58

This is honestly one of the worst films I have ever seen. The budget of the film can't have been over £10,000. Terrible acting and SFX which could've been done by a child. Not in the slightest bit scary aswell as having a very weak and predictable plot filled with clichés. A very poor attempt of a chilling motion picture. 8/100.

bevelino Sat 27-Dec-14 23:30:02

I am watching on catch up and it is totally scaaary!

Jollyphonics Sat 27-Dec-14 23:30:59

Well it certainly scared me!

perplexedpirate Sat 27-Dec-14 23:31:10

Terrible. I'm very disappointed.

MercuryRising Sat 27-Dec-14 23:32:20

It definitely has me freaked outshock

MrsClaireU Sat 27-Dec-14 23:32:42

The knuckle cracking was what the ghost Isabella did and 'petal' is what Radcliffe called Isabella.
I'm confused of who the artist 'Walker' is though? x

Jollyphonics Sat 27-Dec-14 23:33:00

Can anyone explain the ending to me? Are the parents still posessed?
