I am just ShockShock

Am gutted for her, really gutted.

I mean it was clear when Emilie was found alive that something bad had to happen to Sara, but that...?

No you're not. I share your total guttedness - just when she was on the verge of being happy too! Xmas Sad

I just knew that is Emilie lived than Sara would have to suffer some tragedy (this is Skandi drama afterall, and not Hollywood), but I expected something bad befalling her son/expected grandchild or even Borch.

And how can you through a potential life with Borch away for some old paedophile??

Gutted Sad.

And that bastard politico Karsten - not handing that photo over and carrying on as if nothing had happened Angry. Rendering his son's death utterly pointless...

Sara's granddaughter might never get to meet her oma

Oh god, the granddaughter! I wonder if they will name her Sara? Xmas Sad

And Borch! How could she leave Borch? Xmas Sad

Thank goodness we have Borgen to look forward to Xmas Smile

I missed the first series of Borgen Shock!!
AND it is not on iPlayer - how v dare they?!

I think the granddaughter's name is Eva, non?
How dysfunctional and scewed up would you have to be to not move in with Borch (the first time round) and then marry her exH? There must be more to her emotional screwed-upness...

I liked Series I, but can barely remember Series II.
This time round I was sooooo sucked in - they must all be Real People, surely? They are, they are, they are

Sky+ is set to record Borgen2 as of 5th Jan 13 Grin

DH and I spent the whole of the last episode discussing the fact that there was no way she was going to end up living with Borch or playing happy families with her grandaughter.
Whe she said he could move in abd they could build an extension I was saying nooooooo - they won't let it happen

Her face on the plane was so sad.

DH and I are also sad because when we were walking the dogs today we spent the whole time discussing what would happen next as if it were real .

I think she will find a way to wind back time. And make it unhappen.

Report
PacificDogwood · 16/12/2012 19:09

How on earth do you make brain-splattered-on-windscreen unappen? I really hope she will, though Grin.

Her face when she took her SIM card out of her phone after having seen her son's new family...

ChristmasElf, you are so right, when the extension was mentioned, I knew she had just jinxed the Happy Ever After - damn you, you script writers

When she left the hospital without going in to see the baby I knew she would never see her.

Ok, alternative ending to The Killing III

The incrimating photo is handed in to the police, Brix promptly communicates this to Lund who does NOT feel the need to take drastic action. Reinhard gets back to Denmark and further investigation proves that he killed Louise (and possibly several other girls associated with the Children's Trust). Evidence is found against him and he commits suicide in a slow and painful manner (must think about this more).
Lund's extension is built, Borch moves in, Mark and his little family stay for the first few fraught weeks/months with a newborn and enjoy the support from Oma Sara Grin. BFing goes swimmingly (had to through that one in ). They then move to little place of their own nearby.
Borch and Lund's relationship blossoms and to their suprise Sara finds herself pregnant. With twins. A boy and a girl.
Oh, and they plant a trailing rose in her little garden and it thrives.

The End.

Much better, don't you think??

Much better.

Can Sara and Borch install a really fab lighting system in their house - including outside lighting please

BoreOfWhabylon · 16/12/2012 19:41

That is a much better ending!

You will like Borgen - the cheating husband in it is the killer from S2 of The Killing!

Well, the same actor, anyway (and v tasty he is, too) Xmas Grin

I really loved the ending. Although I knew it wouldn't have a happy ending and something bad would have to happen, I wasn't expecting something so bad. It was great.

I loved the horrible ending too.

Isla, how can you Shock?

I keep thinking: I don't really disapprove of her doing the bastard in, but I am angry with her in having done it in such a way the it Ruins Her Life.
Note to self: only commit murder if you can get away with it Grin

Agree, dreadful ending, but hey, it paves the way for series IV - bring it ON!

Will there be another series of The Bridge - anyone know? That was pretty fab too.

Report
PacificDogwood · 16/12/2012 20:39

Yy to more of The Bridge. Please!

Here is another thing that bothered me about the whole premise of The Killing III: the motiviation of Louise's father (Loke?) to get her death properly investigated. Eh? Why? Why now? Why at all? Why via the means he chose?
He really was only her father in a biological sense, had nothing to do with her or her mother, some 15 or whatever years later she is found dead, presumed suicide. Even if he found out about it, even if he had his supicions about the circumstances of her death - why would he be bothered to set up this intricated web and abduction?? Weird. Did not convince me.

But hey, I was happy to go along with it Grin.
I feel bereft too Sad - what will I do tonight??

Oh, oh, I know: shall we draft a plot outline for K4?
Any ideas?

I agree that the whole premise of the father seeking vengance for a child he hadn't known existed was pretty thin - although I was prepared to go along with it because it was The Killing.

K4 - must include the lovely Borch and maybe bring back Troels.

Report
PacificDogwood · 16/12/2012 21:07

Oh yes, a love triangle involving Lund/Borch/Troels

Are we still talking thriller here, or an entirely different genre of movie? Grin

There is no Series IV planned - that was the last one, apparently.

Although, since they haven't killed her off, maybe they will change their minds

Almost 24 hours after watching I'm still feeling bereft, had no doubt that it would have a bleak ending but I was crossing my fingers all the way through that the writers might give Sarah a happy ending. Apparently definitely no 4th series of The Killing planned, the main writer said in an interview I read that right from the start he said it wouldn't go for more than 3 series.

Really looking forward to Borgen 2 in January but apparently it is also ending after 3 series - gah!
