STOP PRESS: amazingly gorgeous girls' navy blue puffa coat in Benetton

Have seen two little girls wearing it at school - it is just above knee length, shawl collar, with a sequin belt and costs 59 euros (has real down filling). Totally gorgeous and I am off to buy one for DD for school coat tomorrow. Sadly cannot find a link.

Is it the one on the far right in the online A/W catalogue under 'Street Song'? There is no evidence of a belt however.

No idea - can you link?

try this

I'm not sure if it will work as it's a downloaded pdf.

Yes, I think that's it! It looks fab belted with its sequiny belt!

It is good to have a recommendation I am on the look out for just such a coat for DD (navy, knee length, showerproof and warm). I am not sure if there's a Benetton near here though .

I'm off to get it tomorrow - it has turned freezing here in the past couple of days and DD needs a really cosy coat for the park and the walk to and from school. She has a sweet navy wool one, but it isn't for super cold weather...

Monsoon have a nice one too, if that is easier for you to get to.

The children are off to their new 'state school' for a few taster days next week and I'm going to take full advantage of the much more slack uniform policy, right down to 'sequiny belts' .

Monsoon is easier to get to but I prefer the look of the Benetton one. I was thinking of giving one of the stores a call and seeing if they would take an order over the phone and post it.

The list of towns/cities in the UK that have a Benetton store is bizarre - I'm sure it tells some sort of story, I'm just not sure what of .

Gosh, the benetton catalogue you linked to is surprisingly good. It's not as good as it used to be here in italy.

Anna I thought you hated puffa jackets !

The Benetton one is real duvet which is much warmer (and looks puffier and more expensive than the Monsoon polyester wadding.

DD's school has a dress code rather than a uniform - any coat will do, just as long as it's navy blue .

I hate them on women as they are so unflattering to the figure. On little girls they are cosy and warm!

I thought of you when sil told me she'll invest in a Moncler coat

franca - I got her a frighteningly expensive extremely pretty pink wool winter hat from Grevi. Last year she got into trouble with her teacher for not wearing a hat in cold weather, so I thought I would bribe her with a very nice hat. She had better not lose it! I will sew in a name label before Monday

Moncler is off the Anna radar for everyone . Moncler in Paris is unfailingly associated with French manicures, skin tight jeans, super high heeled boots and long streaky hair...

I'm sure she'll be extra pretty with the hat

Yes, it's a bit like that in Milan. Often teamed with those hideous hogan trainers. Weird as sil is usually more sensible.

I hate puffa jackets on women too.

at Hogan trainers.

The Monclers were out in force this (very cold) afternoon. A truly hideous purple full length one on a real life WAG what ought to be a very pretty girl

Ooh that coat is quite nice, only a couple of other things I like in that catalogue though. I used to spend loads on DD in Benetton though so perhaps it's just as well.
(off to google Moncler....)
