Ok What about a cool jacket/coat for long country walks and so on. Warm and waterproof but not something that makes you look like a rambler who has lost his map bib

Oh and not one of those Michelin affairs either which are invariably worn by v annoying women

Just had a sneaky peek on the Barbour website and they actually have some nice stuff - like this one.

No solution yet, but I know exactly what you mean about the annoying women - there are loads in michelin coats. Always the long variety.

moondog Tue 09-Sep-08 21:48:48

Aye cat, I can see her now and she is pising me orff.

Lands End. Don't know if it qualifies as a Michelin coat though...

That's actually quite nice Finbo. Plain which I like. Can't be doing with logos and go faster stripes.
Gosh, would never have thoguht to check out Lands End as generally Frump Central.

I cant work out which one you mean Aefo.

Often worn by irritating people working in tv.

moondog Wed 10-Sep-08 20:52:45

Hang on though. i think I see a ruched waistline which is not a good thing.

GrimmaTheNome Wed 10-Sep-08 20:54:01

ROFL 'like a duvet you can wear' - exactly so! Can't imagine a long country walk in it, you'd boil to death.

moondog Wed 10-Sep-08 20:55:38

Frighteningly nasty

moondog Wed 10-Sep-08 20:56:05

You could just roll home if you got tired of walking though.
