www.ladress.comor not? (Apart rom the horrendous prices, that is?) Saw a mag article about La Dress, and can't decide whether they are the answer to my prayers or hideous 1970's air stewardess rejects?

That's the thing though - can one style of dress really answer all those 'shit what do I wear' wardrobe moments?

I like it but it's had to tell from a drawing really.

Oh, and if it was with floral pattern it would look JUST like what my gran, and all her croonies used to wear. My gran had numerous editions of this dress (or something very very similar), in all sorts of colours patterns and shades. I can still picture her doing her crocheting in a dark purlple, pink and blue dress!

In my language there is a word for it: House dress.

I wish she'd get off the table and STAND UP so we could see what it looks like. In theory looks rather useful though I think?

Mind you, what ever does Mouse to House delivery mean?

i'm with ssn. just go to the old ladies section in any upmarket department store and you will get these in a million shades of viscose.

have you seen the comments bit? these frocks are big in holland. look in 'spotted' for some actual pics.

what shape are you, i think it woudl be ghastly on me (apple/parsnip) but a pear shape would be nice with the flarey skirt.

I think it is the most unflattering thing ever. I clicked on the 'spotted' section on the website and even very, very tall and thin women looked oddly lumpy in it. I think unless you are exactly the right shape, very thin, some boobs but not too much, no hips, great legs, you are likely to look frumpy. And if you are that shape, well, hell, you can wear much nicer things than that!

Seriously?

It doesnt even look half nice on that skinny thing either!

My mum is not inundated with dutch and danish postal order catalogues with old ladies showing of "THAT DRESS"

Stay away, stay far far away.

Next you are going to be looking at little round bolstered hats to go with it.
