Will you shop for me?

I need a dress for a baptism next month.

Well, I don't need one, but I want one! I've lost weight recently and want to look nice.

Preferences are knee length or longer, sleeves (cap sleeves are hideous but I don't like sleeveless), no plunging knecklines.

I am a pear shaped size 12/14, 5'8 but height is in my torso.

Small budget! I could possibly justify £50 but no more.

Thanks!!

Good questions. I don't dress up often, it's usually skirts and tops if I do.

I like florals, muted shades of blue and orange, small prints, a flowing silhouette rather than bodycon.

I usually shop in charity shops, ebay or supermarkets. So I'm open to suggestions!

Interesting. A bit young for me maybe, or am I just saying that because the model looks so young? I'm 37 if that makes any difference.

Not lindy bop if 58 and long body. The waist won't sit right, the boon area will swamp a 32f and your hips will get stuck. I can't figure out how dresses for hour glasses don't fit ho u r glasses. Rant over; I've had a disappointing lindy bop delivery.

Thanks is for the links!

I think I like the kimono sleeves, and found this dress m.asos.com/asos/asos-floral-print-kimono-sleeve-wrap-midi-dress/prd/9569694?clr=multi&SearchQuery=midi%20tea%20dress&gridcolumn=2&gridrow=18&gridsize=2&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=79

Any thoughts? Too body-con? I am always about 5 years out of date with my fashion choices.

And I'm terrified of jumpsuits! I think they will just accentuate my thighs.

I think jumpsuits can accentuate thighs if you are a pear. Like the kimono one you just linked to. I would wear that as long as the colour was ok. If you know a student you can get an extra discount on ASOS too.

Yes, not sure about the colour, is the background colour grey or dusky blue? The model is a different colouring to me entirely and I don't think about this sort of thing often enough to know myself. I might just buy it and see.

I have nude/blush coloured shoes I could wear with it.

I've gone ahead and bought the one I linked to. I couldn't stop thinking about it so that usually means I like it! Hopefully it's nice on me - I appreciate the help, I would never have found it or considered it without all your suggestions.
