Wedding outfit advice for a plus size mother of the bride please

Could I ask people for some suggestions please?

DD gets married this summer at a Mediterranean villa, outside, no aircon. It will be very hot. plus I am fat (size 22-24) and menopausal so any outfit must be cool but without revealing acres of flab. Although I am large I don't suit things that are too voluminous and am better with a bit of shape.

I had an idea of a beautiful floaty maxi dress but am struggling to find anything that is not too bold in colour or pattern as the rest of the bridal party are in muted colours and I don't want to stand out.
My other idea was a dress with a floaty, sheer coat, jacket or wrap over it but I just can't find anything
I think I've exhausted the high street shops and catalogue shops like Marisota and JD Williams. Can anyone suggest any outfits or anywhere else to look please?

Studio 8 would be worth a look, definitely. I think Coast also have a small.plus size offering, I can't remember though if it is via Yours or Simply Be. John Lewis also have a few bits on their website as well although the number of things on there varies - sometimes lots, sometimes hardly anything!

try Monsoon OP. they have lovely stuff in bigger sizes

Thank you both, I have tried John Lewis and not found anything exciting, Studio 8 are either too plain or too sparkly and Monsoon is a no-go as the only one I like is out of stock above size 18.
There is one possibility on Coast but I am not sure as it is waisted whereas I often look better with something that falls from just under the bust

Anna Scholz is a bit spendy but her dresses are gorgeous.

They have this one in a 22.

Have you tried Junarose? I don't know about availability/if they ship to the UK, but I have several of their dresses and they are quite interesting in design:

I also like stuff from Carmakoma. Again, no idea about availability/shipping to UK.

Have you looked at the Simply Be website?

They usually have a good selection and also stock some Junarose which one of the pps mentioned.

Thank you all. I have looked at all of those but nothing has leapt out at me. I adore the Anna Scholtz one but I don't have the confidence to carry off that pattern. The Manon Baptiste is lovely but not my colours, I don't suit corals at all, I'm usually better in blues, greens and purples

I suspect I'm overthinking this as I'm trying not to be too bright or too patterned so I don't stand out too much but, equally, I don't suit pastels and don't want completely plain in case of sweat patches

Is this too plain ( Studio 8)

I saw a recommendation for Sahara on another thread and saw this , maybe a bit unstructured, and a little more £££

I love that Sahara dress! Shame it’s so expensive.

I was going to suggest Scarlett and Jo too, www.scarlettandjo.com
I’ve just ordered something from them for a wedding and I’m really happy with it.

Thank you all, some lovely ideas here.
lady I have a couple of Scarlett and Jo dresses already and love them but had not seen that print before, it is lovely. The only concern is that sometimes that kind of folded/pleated fabric on the bust can make me look rather like Hattie Jacques but I may order a couple off them to try, thank you
Goose I love that Ulla Popken dress but not sure if the colour is a bit dark for the med sunshine
book The Studio 8 dress is lovely but I was put off by the fact that some sites sell it as a bridesmaids dress!
still By coincidence I am going to a Chesca shop tomorrow to have a look as I find their stuff needs to be tried on to appreciate it
Thank you all again

I'm just posting again to bump this as I am still dressless Sad

I ordered 3 from Scarlett and Jo but one was too formal and I've decided that the other 2, although lovely, are just not the right shape for me as I am not as busty as their models so the tops look too chunky

I went to Chesca and the stuff there was beautiful and very sophisticated but tended to be plain dresses or tops and trousers with chiffon coats over which would be lovely for the UK but, in a hot climate, you'd take the coat off and be wearing a totally plain dress

book I have ordered that dress to try and another Studio 8 one

I'm starting to panic now as I have exhausted all the sites I can think of so, if anyone has any more thoughts, please help!

What about something more prom like?

Or this with a bolero jacket?

This pattern is unusual

The top part of this looks flattering:

Too severe?

This is stunning:

What about separates? A plain shell top wouldn't distract:

Beigeplus has a list of brands - worth working through them one by one to see if anything suitable?

This is rather wow:

Safer?
