I'd be tempted to go for a green or blue (depending on the predominant colour in the dress) glittery heel. Black heels are a safe bet though.


Shrugs are a bit fuddy duddy. Are you planning on being outside with it on? Just wear a coat.

You could also style it with a pair of ankle boots, black tights and a short black leather biker if you fancy something a bit sassier.

The dress is a very dark green

A really thick (fake) fur shawl in black or mixed browns would look totally awesome and glamourous with that.

No, no, no to green shoes!! Black or nude simple pointed stilettos, nude tights for warmth (it's winter, nobody will judge, just make sure they're not beige or orange )

I made an assumption you were attending something quite dressy with my response there. If it's more a Christmas works do at a bar type affair then I second the black biker jacket and as you're not comfortable with the ankle boot suggestion then go for plain black heels.

Love that dress. Agree black opaques, ankle boots and a biker would be cool. We had our (very dressy) Christmas party on Friday and quite a few of the coolest looking people wore ankle boots with their posh dresses. Looked fantastic.

I think green shoes would also look OK, something like this might be boring but good or how about these with navy tights and a jacket?

The first two are from Schuh a good style if you are new to boots with dresses. Biker and DMs are generally for hard core wearers. Third ones are good if you love heels, from Zara.
