Am I too old for this summer dress?

Am I too old for a dress like this? I am 44 and I have lost a lot of weight recently. So I have not bought a nice dress for a long while. I have to go to a wedding in a couple of weeks and I like this one and the website was recommended to me by a friend. But I am not sure if it is a little young for me. Advice please!

No such thing as being too old for something!

Honestly? I think the opposite you're too young for it. I'm three years older and I wouldn't wear that. I'd expect my mother in law to. Sorry op.

I'm 44 and I think the dress is too old

What bluntness said. It's a pretty dress but if anything it's on the 'classic' side.

I wouldn't expect anyone under 75 to wear that dress. Sorry.

It's very classic and a bit 50s,not young at all, but pretty! Have you been going out in twinsetsGrin?

Blue or green one?
Not that it makes any difference. I'm just curious.
It's a very nice dress. I think it could be pulled of at any age.

I'm 51 and that dress is way too old for me Grin

I think the green one is nicer.

I'm not keen on it either. Nothing to do with age though.

I love the green one.

Yes, I think the dress is too old, too.

I'm 46, and own a similar dress, which I love. I also had an almost identical dress when I was 20, which I wore with DMs. Grin

I came on to say that I think it's a dress for someone about 15 years older as I'm about your age and wouldn't wear that for this reason! PP have beaten me to it but the point remains

Too young for that! I'm 55 and wouldn't be going near it with a barge pole

Too old?

I'd say you were about 20 years too young for it

What the others said - I looked at it and thought it the dress of a classically minded 70 something.

It's gorgeous and certainly not too old for it. It's a classic style which you can make young and carefree or sophisticated and elegant
