Calling @marriednotdead and other bra experts - help please!

I alwaya go to m&s but have read on here that they have an outdated way of measuring.

Im looking for a tshirt bra- measurements are
(When standing)
Underbust 32 inches
Fullest part of bust 37 inches

(When on all fours)
Underbust 31 inches
Fullest part of bust 39 inches

All help and suggestions gratefulky received

I would try a 32DD and a 32E to start with

Can you get to a Bravissimo? I also have a small back and large bazoomers, and they are the only place that without fail fit me perfectly (including through pregnancy and breastfeeding when my sizing was all over the place).

Also, and I've no idea how they do it, but you won't see a single tape measure - I don't think measurements are actually much use, they do it by eye and are just fab (and possibly not human with their ability to tell a bra size just by looking).

The usual advice is to take the fuller bust measurement when leaning forwards - so using 31/32" and 39", I would try a starting point of 30FF/G or 32F/FF. It's a good idea to try a few different brands and styles and also don't forget to "scoop" as it makes a massive difference (described here: better bra campaign). If you can, I agree you should go to a Bravissimo. Or you can order a load to try. Brastop also good for bargains when you know what you're looking for.

Hi, looks like you've got a great start without me Smile

I'd start with the 32 band and F/ FF as mentioned. The tape measuring will give you an approximate start point but cup sizing is a volume measure so you then need to get the cup shape right for you.

Not everyone suits a t shirt bra- it's a lot harder to create the perfect fit bra cup without seams. I'm still looking for mine but that's another story!

If you can get to a Bravissimo then do, simply because they probably have the biggest selection on the high street in your size.

Ok, look forward to hearing the outcome. It's a very specific shape so if it doesn't work, I might be able to suggest other options.

@marriednotdead - based on your expertise, is there another style(s) on the bravissimo site you'd recommend?

I wear t-shirts to work, so a style that looks good under t-shirts would SD be great - thanks!

It's completely subjective, everyone's breasts are a different shape, width, height etc. so what's perfect on one person will be awful on another. It's like finding the right fitting jeans or shoes.

That's why having a fitting helps, they can go through the styles with you and show you what works for your shape.

If you can say what problems you usually have with your bras or any you try on, that might give me some clues!
