Can't actually see any threads where anyone has reported results.

TIA :)

I'm also interested in the answer to this.

I would be interested to hear verdicts too. Just an hour ago, I collected my order of The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and Retinol 2%. I am currently using Bravura 15% glycolic acid night treatment which is giving really good results (though I am peeling a bit), so am thinking of alternating this with the retinol at night, and using the hyaluronic during the day.

Loads of comments on the Fantastic Skincare threads about TO.

Personally I've found it a mixed bag. Have reordered Buffet, didn't like the 10% Lactic Acid, the Nia & Zinc was a bit drying, the Vit C suspension has a weird texture but otherwise works well, the caffeine eye serum is good at depuffing but not moisturing or anything else ime... That's my skin though, yours may react totally differently.

Dulcimena · 21/01/2017 14:01

Oh and the retinol is ok, some find it a bit clogging.

Report
ilovecherries · 21/01/2017 14:04

I've been using it for two weeks, so probably too soon to see benefits. No nasty reactions though. I'm using buffet twice a day, vit C in am, retinol 2% alternating with glycolic on alternate nights and hylauronic.

I've found that my skin has really brightened and looks good from using The Ordinary.
I've used: retinol 2% it's good, doesn't burn like some stuff.
Organic Rosehip oil
Vitamin C suspension (comes in a tube) - found this heavy and greasy I wouldn't reorder.
Hydralauric Acid (don't know how to spell it)
Buffet
Lactic acid (which I do like)

I'll next be trying
The moisturiser in a tube
And an oil.

I can honestly say my skin looks better. I'm 42, and have combination skin.

Deadsouls · 21/01/2017 14:08

My routine has been;
Am: buffet - hydralauric acid - rosehip oil
Pm; retinol - buffer - oil

I'll use lactic acid and vitamin c twice a week

Nadine Baggott has reviewed the range. She raves about buffett and hyraulonic. Check out her youtube reviews. I find her advice very good and no nonsense. Planning to try the range once I use up my other products.

I'm waiting for an order from Victoria Health including the vit c suspension so will report back.

Very impressed - it's results driven but not a luxury feel necessarily. If it's a texture or scent you are after buy something else.
I use the treatment elements from the range, but a different day cream to finish (ren).

Am I use buffet / hylauronic
PM I use regional 2% and rose hip oil

Been using the hydrochloric, retinol
& vit c since xmas & my skin looked amazing today for the first time. I'm pre-menstural which normally means I look blotchy & crap. I'm
Using the hot cloth wash from super drug, emrollysse (spelling?) moisturiser & lrp factor 50 too with weekly clay masks.

I've used the Niacinamide serum and the Vitamin C serum.

Loved the Vit C serum, was luke warm on the niacinamide.

Deadsouls · 21/01/2017 20:08

I wasn't keen on 'Vitamin C Suspension 23%'
It comes out like a lotion. It feels greasy and sits on my skin. I couldn't use it for daytime. There's a tingly sensation that I imagine if you had sensitive skin might burn (it does warn on the back).
That's the only product so far that I wouldn't order again.

I have congested combination skin. I use
am: niacinimide, hydrochloric, moisuriser in a tube
pm, hydrochloric, advanced retinol, azelaic acid, argan oil.
I am undecided. In general my skin is very smooth and soft but something is clogging the pores around my nose and on my chin giving me massive white spots. I suspect either the niacinimide or hydrochloric. I'm going to stop one then the other for a week to see. I think for the price, it is worth a go but I'm not sure it's better than la roche possay that I was using before.

What is lrp factor 50?

I'm looking for a good sunscreen for everyday use. Apparently DECIEM are developing one.

I personally hate HA as concealer peels over concealer...
Buffet gave me spots...
i use retinol 2% and buffet on eyes only, both ok but not seen amazing results..
Giving them one more chance and ordered 10% lactic acid (as doesnt have HA in it) and the caffeine eye serum.
Elemental Herbology Eye Serum/Cream is something I started using recently and is pretty good,I also loveAesop products

Ok, initial thoughts/ feedback. I used the retinol last night and nothing else on top. Skin was less oily than normal and looked more even. I have applied the hyaluronic serum this morning. Again, on its own. Makeup glided on really well and skin feels more comfortable (the weather has been making it incredibly dehydrated and tight). DP laughed when I said my skin felt more comfortable :-) . So, pretty impressed so far...

I love lost if things I've tried and they now form the majority of my skincare regime. My skin looks and feels 10x better for it. I have spot prone dehydrated skin. Routine is

A.M. - Cleanse with Fushi Jojoba oil. Moisturise with Cerave. I have the Ordinary moisturiser to try when my Cerave runs out.

P.M. Cleanse with jojoba. Ordinary 10% lactic face. Ordinary Niacinamide & Zinc face. Ordinary Retinoid 2% neck and chest. Fushi Rosehip oil (also have the Ordinary Rosehip to try once the Fushi has finished).

Twice a week P.M. Instead of above - Cleanse with Jojoba, Ordinary retinoid 2% face/neck/chest. Fushi Rosehip.

I didn't rate the vit c suspension. Nothing to do with stinging, I didn't get a sting. I just hated the texture. It felt heavy and cloying on my skin and the grittiness was horrid.

My favourites, no question, are the 10% lactic and the Niacinamide. The rest are just good, but these two have made real changes to my skin. That's saying something as I'm a real skincare junkie and generally know what my skin likes/ doesn't like.

It's totally dependent on your skin type and what results you're looking for. Im early 40s with combination skin. I use a mixture of NIOD products (deciem brand but pricier and different products) and the ordinary.

I like TO vit c although it seems to be a real love/hate product with lots of users not liking the texture but that's a very personal thing. It feels quite 'siliconey 'although it doesn't actual contain silicone. I use it for its collagen building and brightening purposes.

I'm also using niacinamide for pores. I don't particularly like the texture as I find it a bit sticky. Overall the active ingredients are good. I haven't tried any of their retinol products but may add in due course.

Thanks for the replies :)

I'm 38 with relatively well-behaved skin; am toying with retinoid 2%, buffet and glycolic for 1st purchase.

So I ordered the Natural Moisturising Factors -
Virgin Marula oil

I'm very happy with both!
Moisturiser sinks in well. It's not greasy. It's quite thick.

I have been very impressed with caffeine eye treatment, I have tried so many creams and this is the first one that actually seems to have reduced my shadows (after several weeks); it also has an instant de-puffing effect. And it's so cheap! Will be a re-purchase, probably several!

More recently, I've tried the 2 percent retinol I was wary as I my skin can be sensitive, so I've been using it every 3rd day. No problems at all so far but too soon to see any results.

Just wondering what to try next...skin is fairly good, rarely have spots, but lax suncare on a holiday a few years ago left me with a little pigmentation and it can also tend towards dryness. Open to suggestions!

I use Hyaluronic Acid, Buffet, Caffeine and the gentle Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F

I like all of them. Previously, I'd only used Aveeno moisturiser, avoiding everything else as I have eczema prone, sensitive skin. My skin drank up the HA in particular even I started as I think it was actually more dehydrated than dry. However, I'm waiting for my order of Hadalabo Gokujun premium hyaluronic solution 170ml (approx £10) as many have recommended and it's less than half price of TO's.

Notes: Niacinamide+Zinc seems to be a Marmite product, some love it, makes others have worse breakouts.

Buffet: seems to cause whiteheads in some, but most love it.

Azelaic Acid seems a really good product.

Ppl go mad and buy everything as it's cheap, without having the first clue of how to use, frequency etc. Then they complain it's making their skin worse! Everything needs introducing slowly, so any effects can be monitored.

Ppl seem to feel the need to buy the strongest options of products, so they'll buy the stronger 23% Vit C, when more gentle options are available. Same with retinoids - and want to use them every day and are then surprised when their skin reacts badly.

Lots of info on the Victoria Health website in their Ordinary section, loads of videos on YouTube, esp Gothamista. FB group The Ordinary Chat Room is worth joining, great advice from contributors who know their stuff and info in Files section.

The caffeine eye serum is absolutely amazing. It's working wonders on my bags and lines. It's the only eye stuff I've ever used that made any difference at all.

The salicylic acid seems to work on spots (though right now I have two huge ones that just don't want to go away) though I'm not sure if it is any better than plain tea tree oil. Still, it's worth a try for the price.
