My husband bought one each from my Dd and I
I opted to swop mine for one of the cordless vacsGrin
We have just been away and took her Dyson, I didn't rate it compared to my Diva hairdryer
Dd loves it so I guess it's very much up to the individual, the Dyson vac gives me much pleasureHmm

I love mine nearly as much as my lovely DP who brought it for me!

Was taking me hours slight exaggeration to dry my hair now it's minutes, love it!

I got one for Christmas and love it. I have thick, curly hair and it took a good 30 mins off my drying time.

In the interest of research for this thread I've just borrowed my DSIS's (much to DH's confusion as we are in a hotel with a hairdryers in every room...). I really wanted to hate it (due to ££) but it dried my very long, very thick hair in under five minutes. I'm really impressed!

My next upgrade will be a parlux ionic, I have a basic salon one atm. IF I get a Dyson it'll be later on when the second or third model comes out.

I also love my cordless DysonGrin

Dh bought me one for Christmas...I couldn't fathom £300 for a hairdryer so returned it and bought a lovely LK Bennett shoulder bag instead!!! Dh ended up with £125 in his pocket so everyone is happy!!!

A couple of my hairdresser friends have one and all of them broke within a month!

The Guardian review slated it. Save your money and buy a Parlux.

I'd like to try it but not buy it as have read some pretty bad reviews of it.

Then again I have a Parlux and while I like it, I wouldn't rave about it as much as some of the reviews I have read either.

I love my parlux so when that breaks I'll just get a fancier one then if the dysons break!

Sebo vacuums are SO much better than the Dyson; if you get a decent Parlux you'll never need the hairdryer Dyson, I promise you!

I have very thick hair to the point I NEVER fully dry it...mostly because I can't be arsed but also because it would actually take an age....would this be a worthwhile invention??

I love my parlux too. Was dithering about getting a diva. Am still not sure. There is nothing wrong with the parlux but I'm not sure it's as powerful as when I first got it and I want something new and better

Cant- get a parlux, it'll blow your head offGrin

I have a Parlux and a Diva but was ever so slightly in awe of sil's hot pink Dyson hairdryer, it looks very posh!
She has short hair to shoulders and quite fine so it's going to knock her head offGrin

I've told her where she can send it if she doesn't like it, would look great in my kitchen...

I tried one at the last hotel I stayed at which had them. I didn't hate it but didn't really see the point of it.

It dried my hair. Just like other hairdryers you get for a fraction of the price.

My hair didn't really look or feel any different to usual.

I love my Dyson hairdryer. I've got very straight hair and the shiny finish and style I can get in literally less than half the time I used to take is amazing. It's also very quiet.
