No. It always goes a bit clumpy and gives me Claudia Winklemen eyes. I look much better with it on upper lashes only.

Always, wipe all excess off and gently run across with the wand vertical. Remove any excess with a slightly dampend cotton bud. I use the same mascara for upper and lower lashes. Think bottom lash only mascara is a rip off!

Sali Hughes rates it..I've never been able to justify the expense but if I had the money I'd give it a try.

What is the difference between bottom lash mascara and mascara mascara?!

My bottom doesn't have lashes

I have used it - the Clinique - in the past. It's a really dinky wee brush, and the formula doesn't smudge. I tend to tint my lashes but if for some reason I couldn't I would definitely buy the Clinique again.

I have it.
A waste of money.

I don't out mascara on my lower lashes and believe in the school of thought it's quite aging , sorry,

My bottom lashes are completely invisible without mascara as they are light coloured and fine. It is very tricky to get it to not be clumpy. I just use my regular mascara, but apply top lashes first then bottom ones without reloading the wand so there is very little mascara on it.

Those of you who only mascara the top lashes, do you have dark lashes?

I have black eyelashes, don't bother with mascara mostly, but if I do a full face I do bottom lashes too. I've got hooded eyes, and it looks great with both.

I didn't even realise there was a question over bottom lashes...how is it aging for them to be visible?

I'm still baffled why I needed a bottom lash one, considering I never use it on the top ones.

I use mascara on my lower lashes, they're too pale and invisible other wise.

Currently using my normal mascara to colour them but have used Clinique bottom lash mascara in the past,I love the dinky brush it goes on well too, however, I'm just too lazy to apply both types(am always in a rush). If it came in one tube with both brushes at either end I'd buy it again. Smile

Stealth you have made my night!

As a pp says I use the left over mascara on the brush after having done he top ones, no need for a special product. You do need max factor masterpiece or similar though - slimy not fuzzy brush - not a clump for miles

Also.. my bottom most definitely does have lashes - that's normal, right?

I have it and use it, really like it. The difference is the size of the wand, which makes it easier to put on without being clumpy or too much.

I use clear mascara for length and texture then go over it with my normal mascara. I just use the pointy end of the brush to dab on a bit for colour.

I have it and love it. I have naturally black long straight lashes, and find it particularly useful if I've used a 'nude' liner in the waterline (if my eyes are looking red or tired) A normal sized brush would leave splodges where I apply the nude liner, the Clinique brush allows me to apply right into the lower lash roots. I don't use loads of it, just enough to define the lashes at the root. I wear contacts and it doesn't irritate my eyes or smudge if they water.

I think the wisdom is it can be aging as it can make the eyes look smaller, as it defines the edges, where as top only gives a more open look, this and it is somewhat of generational thing, and folks don't change their make up style. Personal taste really.

I just use my normal mascara for the lower lashes - no clumps or smudges.

I mean vertical, I run it gently along and then kind of dab with it to any lashes that are missed. I do it after upper lashes so there's very little mascara left on the wand so there are no clumps. Although I blot my mascara wand before use anyway. I suppose I have a unique technique but it works for me! Takes 10 minutes though Confused

I use my usual mascara on the bottom lashes using the excess from when I did the top.

My eyes look odd and unbalanced if I only do the top Confused

I only put mascara on bottom lashes, nothing on top.
