Up to the knee rather than OTK boots?

Have seen a few of these around, and am tempted. Although, have memories of them being too loose around the calf.
Do we think they're frumpy?
I want to like them...

They are the most flattering height for me as over the knee makes me look like mutton dressed as lamb and mid calf makes me look dumpy but I am reluctant to wear mine as I was told they scream middle aged woman.

I've heard they're not.cool, but I love mine and wear them regularly...always have. Would never wear over knee ones, though I do have ankle and biker boots too.

Sick of ankle boots, OTK boots not really suitable for work. Knee length boots, don't even have to wear tights!

There are frumpy ones and not frumpy ones, like most other shoes. I like the 'biker' styles with lots of buckles Grin

Depends on your leg length and shape really, the most flattering length on me are the mid-calf ones that are longer than ankle boots but not all the way to the knee. Personally, over the knee ones always make me think of Pretty Woman...

I have some 20 hole DMs which are knee length. Wearing them today, am looking around for a smarter alternative.

I like my Frye Campus boots, which are midway between ankle and knee. But they are that yellowy kind of tan. So not really always right
(Im just looking for an excuse to buy more boots really)

I LOVE up to the knee and hate OTK boots - I feel absolutely ridiculous in the latter, like a cross between Puss in Boots and a ludicrously frumpy version of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

I think the most flattering ones are the tightest around the calf. They should be comfortable, and yet fit like a glove.

I don't like OTK boots at all, A friend wears them to work with leggings and I always think she looks like she should be in a pantomime!!
