Anyone who has stupidly skinny ankles found some ankle boots that don't look ridiculous? If so please share? Look want some that look ok with skinny jeans or leggings that don't look like boats on the end of my legs..
no heel or max 2 inch. Black or brown..

DD wears Dm's - I'm thinking you'd like something a bit smarter - but the DM's look very cool with her very skinny legs.

I evidently like the boat at the end of my legs look!! To me it's no a problem (though knee heighs looking like big wellies isn't something i love)

The Peter Kaiser ones I had to have taken in at the top.

What do you normally wear?

I have skinny legs/ankles and have quite a few pairs of ankle boots, of all kind of styles and like how they look. But, I like my skinny legs, are you trying to hide them?

I find that UGG style boots look good with skinny jeans, although don't really wear them any more.

Like this type of boot.

V casual, these nice too.

Grin at Foxes big wellies comment, not such a good look.

I really want some 'country' boots but they would def look like big wellies.

I have skinny ankles but also never thought this was a problem with ankle boots! Wonder now if people are sniggering at me and my boat feet in the street Grin.

Try searching under the term sock boots op. I have skinny calves and ankles and those sort are tighter at the top, chelsea boots look ridiculous on me as there's so much of a gap.

OP, were you thinking about this style of ankle boot:

www.next.co.uk/g542086s1#956258

I've got these and they're quite narrow at the top, and look good with skirts/dresses. In fact the whole office seem to be wearing this style of boot at the mo!

They are probably closer to what I'm after petal.

I'm going to post a photo of me in ankle boots later so you can see how stupid I look!

I just wear cable knit ankle socks and push them down. Looks much better.

something like this? 3 inch heel but I don't notice height so much with a block heel

That's what l do, or buy children's ones because they seem to have slimmer ankles for some reason.

Op I know exactly what you mean!

I returned a pair to Clarks this week for exactly the same reason. They looked great in the picture but on my feet looked ridiculous. Chelsea type boots are okay, it's the ones that come up slightly higher (biker boot type) that look ridiculous on me.

I tried mine on with leggings and they stuck out half a mile like they'd been ironed with a crease down the front.

Look how stupid they look! Oh and ignore the pasty bare legs, it was just for the photo!

I have skinny ankles (and wrists - finding bracelets that don't fall off is another story Grin) I bought these recently www.marksandspencer.com/stain-away-suede-ruched-jeans-ankle-boots/p/p22401692?image=SD_01_T02_8567A_Y0_X_EC_90&color=BLACK&prevPage=plp&pdpredirect

Not the most exciting boot around but they are great as narrow around the ankle and very, very comfy!!

Ribbed opaque tights or thick leggings will help pad out your legs a bit.

I have the same problem and solve it by wearing lace up boots something like these or a Victorian style.

FoxesOnSocks · 20/10/2016 22:02

Hmm ok they don't look good, sort of Chelsea boot style (which I avoid like the plague) I'd tend to wear 'softer' ankle boot more of a biker boot style.

Maybe I don't like boats at the end of my legs after all!!

I've got these in plain black leather and they're fine
