Show me your winter wool coat

Looking for a stylish, cool, lined wool / non "waterproof bum coverer" winter coat and I'm struggling with something that's not boring or old fashioned (or a million pounds) but also not this giant oversized full length drop shoulder style which will look awful on me... Please link to what you've bought or want to buy this season.

(Sorry if this has already been done)

Hobbs, Jigsaw, Ted Baker and Reiss all do good wrap coats.

I've bought this:
www.tedbaker.com/uk/Womens/Clothing/Jackets-Coats/SAFIERA-Long-wrap-wool-coat-Oxblood/p/132116-41-OXBLOOD

Last year I bought this in a chocolate brown:

www.hobbs.co.uk/product/display?productid=0216-3436-1049L00&productvarid=0216-3436-1049L00-BLACK-12

I also have a very glam fur trimmed long black wrap coat from Jigsaw which they haven't done this year, but I get lots of compliments.

Shmoo good question

Colour - definitely not black. I'd prefer a mid to light shade actually. Grey, taupe, petrol or a gentle navy could also work.

Size - 8 to 10

Budget - about £250. Don't want anything too cheap eg sub £100 as I know the quality won't be there. I know it won't be great even above £100 but hoping for £200 I could get something decent...

Thanks for links

Anything with a big revere collar looks bloody awful on me. Makes me look bigger than I am somehow. So pea coats aren't a great look for me. Ideally I need something with a high or slim neck if that makes sense.

That Ted baker coat is very nice but maybe a bit too smart/dressy! I live in jeans and ankle boots and I think that would look better over dresses perhaps? Also that colour would be terrible on me.

I like reiss coats but they too are verging on a tad too smart or corporate.. will check out jigsaw

Admittedly out of budget but this from Reiss?

I love a double breasted wool coat, especially in gray or navy.

Peacoats are more a jacket though really aren't they.

or this from Boden (shown in grey but comes in various more interesting colours too)

this one's going to be too cheap for you, but DD lured me into NewLook recently and it was good in the ways other things weren't - especially not the oversize look, which is no good if you are small and made me look like I was a child in mummy's coat. It's also a colour I liked (though wish they had done the bottle green in petite). received compliments on its first outing!

That monsoon coat is just the style I've been after. Looking on the style & beauty boards always end up costing me money...

Thanks - minipie I like the Boden colours but it's not lined so not great for cold weather. Hobbs 2nd one is quite nice.

Camtt that NL coat is nice! Shame such a low wool content.

I quite like this - thoughts?.

I have this one. It's cosy and flattering. I like my winter coat to be a bright colour, as everything else I wear is black and grey this time of year.

[[http://www.johnlewis.com/whistles-dara-drawn-cocoon-coat-navy/p3031135 This one] from Whistles is lovely. I have something v similar from JL in royal blue, which I bought last year and love (looks great with jeans).
