It's bloody awful, I look awful, I'm going to eat really well and drink loads of water but I have only got 7 weeks.

What can I do to make this better??!!
Bride probably would be happy for me to wear something to cover my arms, if I could find something appropriate..:

I hate it, I look awful, I want to be sick I'm so anxious!!

You look lovely. Have a spray tan, get fitted at Bravissimo for a new bra and you'll be fine, honestly.

First of all, you definitely do not look awful. In fact I can see you have good boobs, and a definite waist, and hips. That dress you're wearing looks fab on you.
If you want to look even better, the advice on here is to drink lots of water, cut out carbs, exfoliate and moisturise every day, walk lots and weight train.

I don't think you look awful at all but if you feel bad drink lots of water, but decent underwear (always helps me feel more strapped in) and maybe give the thirty day shred by jillion Michaels a try? I lost over half a stone on it and inches on my thighs, arms and waist. By the way I'm really not suggesting you NEED to do this - I just know what that sick anxious dread feeling is like! xx

I actually think the dress looks lovely. Agree that spray tan will help you feel better too! :)

Honestly you look great in that dress! Pair of heels, spray tan (if you can be arsed) hair and make up done - jobs a good un!

I do know the feeling however, so you're not alone!

Ok. Spray tan it is, will try 30 day shred too, great idea.
I've just started weight watchers so hoping for a bit off by then too -

Basically I hate weddings, bit of a phobia but it's my best friend so wanted to be brave but this has set me back!

The dress is from Lindy bop and most of them have petticoats underneath so may get one, do you think if will help?
We all have different dresses just same colour so will be allowed to do that!

Well you look exactly like I would in that dress. Mostly fabulous. But like you I'd need my arms covered. I never get them out. Spray tan is a great idea.

Years ago I'd have worn a shrug but I've gone off them now. I would wear a thin, crepe evening coat if I could find one. I love evening coats.

Spray tan, good bra, hair - you'll look cracking. Don't cover your arms - those bangers are where the focus should be.

Ooh, nice heels too

Book hair and make-up for the day, get some lashes (not too big) make sure your eyebrows have been threaded the week before and find your perfect lipstick.

In the nicest possible way eyes will be on the bride and a lot of people at the wedding presumably know what you look like so you just have to be a polished version of yourself for everyone to comment how well you look.

Yes get the petticoat! I think you look lovely but I got the petticoat for my lindy bop and felt fabulously swishy.

AlbusPercival · 22/09/2016 20:41

Agree with PP, always wear the petticoat!

I think you look great. Agree a spray tan, it makes for confidence.

I like my arms covered. So if it was me I'd have a light chiffon type wrap worn dead casual but definitely not covering the boobs, just draping across the arms - it would give me confidence.
Have a great day.

As everyone else has said - I don't think you look awful at all!

take the dress to the shops with you and try it on with a decent bra and some good "shape wear" it really is amazing what difference they make.

And as for your arms, (do any of us like our bare arms in photos?) my wedding photographer taught me to hold my arms slightly away from my body in photos. Maybe a wrap to wear after the ceremony/photos?

ooh get the petticoat you'll feel fabulous! You have a lovely shape by the way and I think the dress shows off your boobs and waist in a great way. Heels on, chin up, own the room ;) X

You look really great.

Lots of exfoliating and moisturising over next few weeks so your skin is silky smooth.

And a feel fab fragrance!

Report
BeMorePanda · 22/09/2016 20:44

Ooh yes a petticoat will be fab.

I'm not saying you need shape wear Blush

I'm just suggesting it as I feel so much better with all my wobbles tucked away and my dresses seem to "sit" so much better!

watermelon

I definitely do need shape wear!

Have been frantically googling best ones for stomach sucking!

Wit woo! Definitely get a 'smack em in the face ' mega bra and the petticoat would really va va voom the look. I got one from eBay for about a tenner.

Have a great day!

I don't think you need any shapewear. The dress is honestly very flattering. Cover your arms if you like but you'll want to be as comfortable as possible-it's a long day. So for me that means no sausage skin massive knickers.

Go and be free. Couple of proseccos, have a great time.

Yep, go for the petticoat too. I got a cheapy £9 Ebay one to go under my Lindy Bop circle dress and it was just as good as the "official" one my sister bought (though maybe I was lucky!)
I wouldn't wear a cover up if I were you, I think it'll detract from the dress. Chuck a kettlebell around for the next month or so if you want some more definition in your arms but honestly, you look good!
With that dress, makeup, confidence and a big smile you'll look fantastic on the day.
