Awkward sized bras - where to buy - without bankrupting myself?

Missanneshirley · 04/09/2016 20:30

Following bra intervention instructions I am now apparently a 28E which is all well and good except that nowhere seems to sell them!!
I've ended up on the fig leaves site and there's nothing under £25-30, which just isn't feasible.
Does anyone have any recommendations for Primark or even M&s prices but outwith "Standard" sizes?
Thanks!

Nope, sorry.
If you're anything above an E cup, bras cost a fortune.
I just have fewer of them.
You could try Bravissimo sales...

Garrrrr I thought someone might say that. It seems crazy when my boobs are essentially quite tiny!

I actually find ASDA of all places seems to carry bigger sizes - I'm a 34g and I can always count on ASDA to have them in!

The t shirt bras are very comfortable too!

Ebay? There are new bras on there. Might be an idea to try some in real life, even if pricier than you want to spend, then see if you can pick them up on ebay.

They can't be that tiny if you're a 28E Grin
I do suggest you go to Bravissimo and try some bras on, even if you end up buying them online instead, it's good to try different brands and styles - they will all fit differently and you might need different sizes in different ones.

eBay. However you do need to know what styles you're looking for. Best bet is to have a massive try on (stick em on a credit card so worst case, you'll just pay return postage if you time it right and send back fast enough), identify what suits and then search them on eBay.

Amazon often has last season's bras for about £15. eBay is also worth a look.

I feel your pain, I'm a 28FF. I get fitted at Bravissimo and then get a few more online.

You can't be tiny if you're an E cup?!

Debenhams in the blue cross sales is good for awkward sizes at 70% off. I used to get 30h with the advantage of actually trying them on as compared to online (many styles don't fit me properly)

I just checked for your size on eBay - over 500 listings. Maybe try there?

I buy my bras from amazon. I'm a 30D, so similar sized boobs to you 😁

Debenhams sales. Honestly - massive reductions and they definitely do a 28 back. Or try them on there and buy the ones you like on eBay (you can save a search so eBay emails you matching item listings)

there's a lovely brand called Miss Mandalay that do amazing sales on their online store. Often find things on ebay too - end of line from Panache and Freya

28E is the same volume as a 34C so it's not a big size but it's trickier with the smaller back size

DrWhy · 04/09/2016 21:07

People saying the OP can't be tiny if she's an E cup, cup sizes go with back sizes, an E cup on a 28 back (which is pretty small) won't be anything like as big as an E cup on a larger back, say 34 or 36, which you might be more used to seeing as they are more commonly available.
Afraid I can't offer much advice on where to buy though, I just go to Bravissimo, try not to look at the number on the till and make them last as long as possible!

OP you're slightly bigger than me (28D), I feel your pain with the expensive bras.

Ebay is good but requires a lot of sifting.

Brastop, the boob or bust selling page if you don't mind 2nd hand. Bravissimo sale. Am jealous, no bras exist in the style I need in the size I am (28K) but bra stop ofyen has bras for under £10.

DrWhy I understand how cup sizes work, and I'm sure most of us posting here do, but I still don't think 28E is "tiny". 28A or B is tiny. 28E is probably small to average.

My boobs, however, are veering into the "huge" category Sad
