Just bought Laura Geller balance and brighten and I love it. I just wonder what's the best way to apply it? Brush or powder puff? Can you use it wet? Tia

Big brush, don't wet it, just use a smaller brush to build coverage and get it to act like concealer.

That's great thank you :-)

I ordered this today! Very excited. I love her eyeshadow.

I got this, a highlighter and 2 eye-shadows a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love them. The balance and brighten will definitely be repurchased. Can anyone recommend a good brush to use? I have a cheap boots one that seems to work well but I'm not sure what constitutes a good brush.

I plan on using a stippling brush. I have a cc cream that I love for almost no makeup days but want to be able to swirl something subtle on any areas that need some extra coverage.

I love balance and brighten, I've been using it for a few years now. I use a telescopic brush that came with it in a tsv kit, which is good beach you can use it fully open for general coverage, then push it in to make the brush smaller and thicker, for more of a concealer effect

I'm not a big B&B user but Laura Geller Roseberry blusher is the best ever for my colouring and even though the powder is crumbling from where it's been dropped and bumped, I treasure it.

B&B - big brush.

I love my B&B! I also use the telescopic brush that came with it. It's great, and I think you can buy it separately, though you can probably find similar in Boots/Superfrog...

Superfrog?! Hmm

Superdrug! Stupid autocorrect.

I like the sound of the telescopic one. I'm tempted by a blusher too now!

I love B&B I look ill without it, I use a Real Techniques kabuki brush.

Humph. Mine arrived today and it is far too yellow on me. I am fair so got it in fair as the pictures of the porcelain one online looked too pale. Shame as the coverage and finish are really lovely, but it makes me look like I be in the Simpsons.

Send it back and order the lighter one - they're good with returns

Assuming you got it from QVC Blush

I got it from Cult Beauty. I'll check their returns policy though.

Just bought the highlighter too and its gorgeous, gives a fab glow without looking OTT. That's a shame about the colour Nabootique! I did the same, as the porcelain looked super pale, luckily fair has been ok for me. Definitely see if they'll swap!

Porcelain is great if you're very fair, I use it all the time. I have her retractable brush that often comes with it but like to use a Real Techniques brush. Their retractable big brushes are good too.

Bumping to ask....

Do you buff it in or stroke it on? I'm struggling to not look cakey or waxy. 🙁

Report
prettywhiteguitar · 19/05/2016 17:52

Definitely buff, sounds like you're putting too much on at once

coleus · 19/05/2016 17:55

Thanks! I'm kind of stroking a big powder brush all over the surface - I got the huge supersize one last week - then madly rubbing it in in big circles. It doesn't give great coverage so I guess I am overloading it.

I have a soft medium brush and brush it over my face. It looks good but thinking it might look even better if I buff??

I wonder about the different batches you know I just ordered the 8g for £22 and the coverage is fab, totally matte and covered my pigment.

Debenhams are now stocking LG - the gift sets with several items as well as the B&B. They looked like excellent value. Sadly the store I visited seemed to mostly have Medium B&B in the packs.

I dropped my balance and brighten today. I could have cried!! The lid was on but now it's a crumbly mess :-(
