Vanity Fair have apparently just named her thus. What do we think?

I reckon she always looks pretty good - though she has the budget, tbf. Her posture ain't great though.

I like what she wears. Although sometimes I think it wears her. I loved what she wore the day they won the election, and i think she does casual very well too. I didn't like the ball gown she wore to meet the Obamas (as an aside I LOVE what Michelle Obama wears) as it was a bit frumpy, but she might not have been comfortable in something more glitzy.

She looks like an archetypal sloane ranger to me. No flair, imagination, and, as it has been pointed out, her clothes wear her.
Completely the opposite to what I find stylish.
But other folks would get a headache from my wardrobe, and my style icons, so meh.
Horses for courses.

I saw a very good comment about her the other day, accompanied by a picture of her in a lovely dress to make the point. It doesn't matter what she wears, how expensive the outfit/dead etc, she just looks like she's wearing M&S.

Agree, that she always looks like she is wearing M and S

I was a bit 'eh?' at first. But then I thought that at least she doesn't have helmet hair, skirt suits and pearls a la Laura Bush and Norma Major. So I suppose her wardrobe is quite radical for her position. But otherwise, I'm still a bit 'eh?'

Nick cleggs wife always puts her in the shade.

Straightlaced, frumpy and officey is how I'd describe Samantha Cameron's style.
Her clothes don't appeal to me anyway.

Grin

I saw Dave's style commended in the Independent last week. Wtf?

Yy the Cleggs are the best looking and dressed couple in politics.

There is more than a whiff of M&S about, mind you I always think that about Kate Middleton - her beloved suede courts just scream Insolia.

Yes, dressed by M and S is spot on! She looks nice but underwhelming, always appropriate in a PTA chairwoman kind of way. I think if her posture was better she would wear the clothes better, she always looks a bit uncomfortable in them. And yet she has a cracking figure, good hair and skin etc and I guess has some time needed for pampering etc to look her best when needed.

Agree about Miriam Gonzales. She always looks great.

I think she dresses well - fashion forward with a slight edge but it's a style that only the very tall and slim can pull off - I'd look like Velma from scooby doo in most of her outfits.

She also knows what suits her and plays that up - nipped in waist, high necks - I loved the high neck floor length gown she wore the meet Michelle Obama.

If I had to wear Sam Cam's wardrobe, I wouldn't overly complain. It's not my ideal, mind you, but not the worst.

Isn't she chair of London Fashion Week or something?

Confused There is a million miles between her look and M&S

The M&S comment is so true!

I came on to say that she always dresses in a "safe" way.

It's as if she's trying to avoid any comments on her clothes - they're too safe (boring?) for anybody to even have an opinion about or bother commenting on IYSWIM.

Shame because, like you said Sassy, she has a great figure and could be a great 'model' for some creative, adventurous British designers to get their work seen.

i don't think she is.
she's ok looking - the same as the rest of us - normal and nothing special.
i do not consider her to be stylish. nor her ham-faced husband.

Agree with previous poster -SC is OK but nothing special. I know her (and his)hairdresser and he always goes for the safe, which probably is what she likes.

Perhaps she doesn't want to stand out too much?

Also v. strongly agree that Nick and Miriam are the best looking and best dressed couple in that field - though of course she has a very dynamic career of her own.

That daily mash one was spot on! (Though she always looks nice and she is not a model so I feel a bit mean. She is also much fitter and slimmer than me!)

I think she is a boring dresser

Report
Dynomite · 12/08/2015 14:38

Quite boring clothes, bad posture, always looks a bit uncomfortable (in a teenager wearing her mum's clothes uncomfortable kind of way). I guess the clothes themselves aren't so bad, just her attitude and posture (and that fringe that always gets in her eyes)

I think she's frumpy, boring and unstylish, but I can't get excited about it.
