Thanks! But seriously, where can i get some nice loafers?

Whatamuckingfuddle Sat 20-Jun-15 21:28:51

What sort of budget are you thinking? I wouldn't normally suggest this so don't hold it against me, but I quite like the boden penny loafers?

Russell and Bromely ones are lovely but £££ - I tend to buy them from ebay grin

HMF1 Sat 20-Jun-15 21:30:43

What about Clarks?

Whatamuckingfuddle Sat 20-Jun-15 21:30:48

Or topshop? Topshop haven one quite nice ones in at the moment

NashvilleQueen Sat 20-Jun-15 21:31:58

What sort of style? Something like these?

NashvilleQueen Sat 20-Jun-15 21:33:02

These are a bargain

NashvilleQueen Sat 20-Jun-15 21:36:49

I quite like these myself

Tod's Gommino are the classic if you are feeling like splashing out!

Love the Russell and Bromley/Tods but too much £££. Do you buy them new or used PacificDogwood?

Equally love the Topshop loafers but none in stock in my size/colour preference sad

I'm looking for something smart casual so in a navy or beige perhaps but not black as too harsh to wear with my jeans I think

Moshulu loafers are great- very comfy.

PacificDogwood Sat 20-Jun-15 22:12:51

I buy used if they look ok.

What's not to love? grin

Am really liking those Pacific

PacificDogwood Sat 20-Jun-15 22:18:55

They are nice, aren't they?
I am watching them, but I don't need them. Sigh.

TranmereRover Sat 20-Jun-15 22:19:34

i've had my Russell and Bromley loafers for 8 years, and was in there on Friday talking to another customer who's had hers for five - all looking as good as new, and super, super comfortable. If you have the cash, they are definitely worth the money even though they're expensive...

PacificDogwood Sat 20-Jun-15 22:19:35

If they are the right size for you, go for it!
I really don't need them, honest smile

ipadmad Sat 20-Jun-15 22:20:12

They're the wrong size for me unfortunately

PacificDogwood Sat 20-Jun-15 22:26:31

Ah, too bad.
I lurk on ebay quite a lot, just to know what's on offer, I bid very rarely and only on new/nearly new/with defects high end shoes.
Works quite often but is a time thief

Sebago Bala are fantastic, sooo comfortable, last ages, lots of colours.

ipadmad, those R+B ones I linked to just went for £43 - quite a lot of money for some used shoes IMO, but probably a good buy nonetheless.
