Tinted eyebrow gels

I used to dye my eyebrows but since they changed the formula it doesnt seem to last more than a week or so. So, do those tinted gels look ok/can anyone recommend one for mousy brown eyebrows? I cant find a pencil that looks natural.

I love Beneft Gimme Brow. Have also tried the Maybelline Brow Drama but found the wand too big.

I use Benefit Brow-Zings, it's not a gel as such but it is very very good!

Benefit Gimme Brow is the best I've tried, by a long way. pricey, but worth it - although I hope somebody will come along and recommend something equally good but cheaper Smile

I use Brow Zings too. It's good for me because I've got sparse brows and Brow Zings fills them in well.
I've stopped using the wax bit as it made my brows look too red, the fibres last all day on me and look much more natural.

I'l hang around to see if there's a cheaper way of doing it.

Can I piggy-back onto this thread please and ask if anyone has advice about lightening my brows - my hair is grey/blonded but I still have dark brows.

I also recommend Benefit Brow-zings. It makes a huge difference to my brows but looks totally natural.

I had a Bobbi Brown eyebrow mascara thing which was similar and I thought was pretty good, but the Benefit is a hundred times better.

Gimme Brow, I love it! So easy to use. I got the lighter one but might get the darker one for when I have a tan.

I got MUA eyebrow mascara in Superdrug for £2. It's not bad but I'd be interested to know how it compares to those mentioned above if anyone knows?

How big is the wand on the MUA one ZaZa ?

Report
ZaZathecat · 01/06/2015 16:30

The wand head is just under 2cm long Cheesy (I just measured it!)

The wand head on the Benefit one is tiny. Really tiny. I think that might be why I like it so much, it really reaches even the smallest of hairs.

I must say I thought it strange to have the same shape wand as you get for lashes, albeit a little shorter.
I found I had to wipe off the excess, do you have to do this with the others?

Thanks ZaZa. The Benefit one is tiny as treacle says and the Maybelline one that I didn't like is really bulbous, it made my brows go all over the place. I don't wipe off the excess but I go over again with a spoolie to get rid of any excess product in the brow.

A spoolie? What's that?

Or are you Paloma Faith?

God no, Beryl. I look like Alistair Darling.

A spoolie is a little make up brush that looks like a clean mascara wand. I use the one on the end of Soap & Glory Archery brow pencil.

Being somewhat brow obsessed I have tried a few of these brow gels...The best one I have found is the benefit one, mainly due to the small wand, I do like the MUA one though, the color is pretty good just the spooling bit is a little big, I tried the beauty UK brow set from super drug and that was great, it's not a wand but the colour was great so would recommend it

I'm considering getting my eyebrows tattooed. There's a place on the Isle of Man which is supposed to be very good. It's £295 though, so not cheap.

Sleek do a cheaper version of browzings which is great. But last week I bought myself benefits gimmie brow and I have to say its fabulous and worth the price tag.

A colleague had her eyebrows tattooed. They were quite dark at first, she is blonde so they looked quite startling. They faded to a lovely natural colour though. She did have to get them redone after a few months due to fading which is apparently to be expected.

So, er, further upthread I was raving about Benefit Brow-zings. And several days later I realise that I've never tried it. I actually meant Gimme Brow Blush, which I have tried, and which I highly recommend.
