Help me find a wedding dress?

Getting married outdoors in an informal summer ceremony in 6 months. I'm 5ft 9 and a smallish size 12 now although hope to be a 10 by the wedding. I don't have the budget to throw thousands at a dress but would spend up to about £500 on something if it was really lovely. Even that feels like crazy money for a dress I'll wear once! I love temperley dresses (way out of my reach). Would quite like a dress with sleeves and not too 'princess' Can anyone point me toward a good place to start?

I bought my wedding dress from monsoon for £250 and loved it...that was three years ago though wouldn't know what their current range looks like!

For the second time tonight I'm posting a link to BHLDN - so many nice dresses and and also some really pretty ones under £500:

You could also try their sale:

For an informal summer ceremony I would probably go for a short dress myself - some nice ones at BHLDN as well:

I got mine from here //www.minna.com - they have some lovely, not too expensive dresses.

Sounds daft but try BHS, a friend got hers from there last year and it looked amazing - she was a 12/10

Hadn't thought of ghost or monsoon but both are a great start. Feel like lots of ghost dresses are quite slinky and I have a c-section overhang that would I think would show through. Unless you can fix that sort of thing with clever underwear?

I'm one of the organisers of a wedding fair in London, A Most Curious Wedding Fair. For our promo shoot we used dresses by Free People which are reasonable in terms of cost, we just love their laid back, boho/summery/hippy vibe. Someone else mentioned Minna whose dresses are gorgeous, she will be exhibiting at our fair too. Another option is to go second hand or find the dress you want but try to get it in a sample sale. Check out the link below and you can see the images and if you scroll down there are links to Free People, and others used in the shoot. Best of luck with your search! x

Over budget by 50% and only available in a skinny size 10 but it is a Temperley. Doubt you'd ever wear it again unless you shortened it to knee height

On budget and in your size but no sleeves and too revealing for a church wedding.

Again over budget but v flattering

Try and find someone who could make a dress for you in this style?

Total bargain and in perfect condition apparently. Not sleeves as such but a sort of draped cape effect.
